Chocolate Looks Good - IAS #101

Good morning, friends. Happy Sunday! It's a lovely day here although a bit chilly.

The week has gone well except for the two days that the school online system was down. Lucky, I had most of my work done and was able to find a work-around to get some other things done. Week 4 is behind me.

I am still working on getting my craft room organized. Trying to get a handle on all my Christmas craft supplies. I don't like to put them all away since I make Christmas cards all during the year. Just need to be more organized with them.

I do have a card to share today. This is for the International Art & Soul fun challenge.  This fortnight the theme is Hearts chosen by DT member, Chriss. Fun challenge and I used a stampt that I haven't used before. It's one of the Art Impressions stamps. Those are so funny and I love using them. I did not have this set marked, so I have no idea what the set is called and even after extensive searches on the Internet, I did not find the name. It also must be retired because it is not on the AI website either.

Materials Used:

  • Image - Art Impressions
  • Sentiment - Art Impressions
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Powder Pink; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - CC Designs - Smoochie
  • Ink - Memento - Tuxedo Black
  • Accessories - Stampin Up Oval Punch, silver gel pen
  • Copic Markers - E23, E25, E50, E51, E53; R14, R24; R81, R83, R85; W2, W4, W7

That's it. I hope you will pop on over to the website to see what the rest of the Design Team has created and then join in with your lovely hearts creations.

Just a Note With Hearts

Hello friends. I hope you are doing well. It's a bit of a chilly Thursday here. I've been on hold for almost 40 minutes trying to schedule my second vaccine shot. I have a date for February 8, but  I need a time. I just hope they have this organized so that I can get the second one.

In the meantime, I have a card to share. I made this card some time ago and never blogged it or used it for anything, so I'm using it for the Challenge Your Stash challenge for January. This has certainly been in my stash for sometime. I looked all through my digi stamps and could not find where it came from. I usually write down a menu for my cards, but since I don't remember when I made it, I can't find the information on it. It will have to just stand on its own.

The challenge this month is from Lisa (lovinpaper) and she asked us to make a friendship card using flowers or hearts. This was just perfect for the challenge.

You Suit Me - Creative Card Chicks

Good morning and Happy Thursday. Today is the day we post our cards for the Creative Card Chicks Monthly Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Each month we have a hostess who creates a kit for each of the members and sends it out. It includes some images, designer paper, and some embellishments. Then we each create our own cards with what we receive. This month our hostess is barbaralynn. Here is the card that I created.

  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Tranquil Tide
  • Designer Paper - Stampin Up Tranquil Textures
  • Accessories - Stmapin Up ribbon and blue Rhinestones; Stampin Up Small Oval Label Punch
  • Copic Markers - BG01, BG02, BG05; BG72; RV32, RV34, RV66
Thanks Barb for a fun challenge.

Holiday Hello

Hello  my friends and happy Wednesday or Hump Day as some call it. It's all downhill from here. I hope you are having a good week.

Today I am working on my 2021 Christmas cards and have this one to share. This is for the SplitcoastStampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge. This year they are sketch challenges, so we can use whatever we want as long as we follow the sketch provided.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Stampendous - Build-a-Snowman
  • Sentiment - Power Poppy - Under Glass Christmas Keepsakes
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Gumball Green; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Basic Gray - Juniper Berry (retired)
  • Ink - Memento - Tuxedo Black
  • Accessories - Martha Stewart Edge Punch; Stampin Up Window Punch; white applique.
  • Copic Markers - I did not keep track of which ones I used, but reds and greens, a light blue and a light gray

As you can see, I used a few of the punch outs as embellishments on the image.

Monster Birthday

Hello friends. Happy Tuesday. Today I give a shout out to my dear grandson who turns twenty-two! He's the baby. I can't believe how fast they grow up. I really can't say he's a great kid anymore since he's not a kid anymore! LOL! He does love his games and puzzles though. He is now a fifth year senior in college and still going strong.

We celebrated his birthday yesterday and I made this fun card for him.

This is such a fun image and it was a challenge trying to color it and get papers coordinated.

Materials Used:

  • Image - Bugaboo - Birthday Monsters
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Party With Cake. It also says "It's Your Day" on the inside
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Bashful Blue; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Bo Bunny - Blast Off
  • Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copic Markers - BG000, BG01; BV000, BV01; E00, E25; Y15; YG01, YG03, YG05; YR01, YR02, YR04.

That's all I have for today. Stay safe and have a wonderful week.

Winter - IAS #100

Hello my friends. Happy Sunday I'm a little late getting this posted, but it is still Sunday. I made this card for the International Art & Soul challenge for this fortnight. The theme is Winter and was chosen by our Design Team Member, Crafty Girl.

This was pretty simple for me. I love this snow flake die cut frame. It makes it quite easy to put a card together.

I used Stampin Up Whisper White for the card base. I used the Memory Box Dancing Snowflake Die to cut out the frame using the Stampin Up White Glitter card stock for the frame. After positioning the die cut frame over the base, I was able to stamp the Papercraft village image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The sentiment also stamped in Tuxedo Black is from the Stampin Up Every Good Wish stamp set. After stamping the image and sentiment, I adhered it to the base using glue.

I hope that you'll pop on over to the IAS challenge website and play along with us. It's just for fun, but you could be chosen as the Winner or picked as one of the Top 3. Hope to see you there.

Special Day - IAS #99

Good morning and Happy Sunday! Also, Happy New Year. Yes, we were finally able to put 2020 behind us. Now let's just hope that 2021 will be a better year. Looking forward to a time when we will all be able to get back into our normal lives and doing all the things that we love to do - like spending time with family and friends where we don't have to wear a mask or social distance. We'll be able to be together and give hugs again. I really miss hugs.

I do have a card to share with you today. This is the first challenge of the year for International Art & Soul. The theme for this challenge is Landscapes. So any project you have that shows off a landscape is perfect to enter in the challenge. This is a card I made using the Heartfelt Creations Dreaming in Florals card kit. The landscape is visible with the card open.

The items in the kit that I used were the Sweet Peony Paper Collection; Cherry Blossoms cling stamp set; Tweet Cherry Blossoms Die; Just For You Sentiments cling stamp set; ornate pocket accents die, and heart of gold prills.

Since I made this card some time ago, I did not keep track of what colors I used to color the flowers and birds.

I hope that you will pop on over to the IAS challenge and see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your inspiration and then grab those stamps or mixed media and get creating! You could be picked as a winner or one of the Top 3. Good luck!
