Irish Lass - IAS #128

Hello, my friends. Happy Monday evening. Yes, it's almost 7 PM here and dark outside. It was a lovely day though with sunshine and warmer weather - not warm, just warmer. I think (and hope) that we've seen the last of the really cold weather now that March is here. It's time for Spring!

I'm a little late getting this card posted. I was busy yesterday with preparations for my daughter and her family coming over for dinner. Dinner turned out pretty good. I made cabbage soup with vegan sausage. I had a hankering for grilled cheese sandwiches, so I made some of those too. I haven't had a grilled cheese sandwich in a whole bunch of years. My granddaughter eats vegan so the most of the sandwiches were made with vegan cheese, but I love Swiss, so I made one sandwich with Swiss cheese. I offered to share, but no one wanted any, so I got to have it all to myself. I had also made some banana, chocolate chip muffins that turned out great! I will be making them again.

Okay, so now for my card. Our theme this fortnight was chosen by ME! It is St. Patrick's Day. I didn't realize that I have used this stamp before until I saw an older card in my memories on Facebook, but that's okay. The design is different. And I love this stamp.

Light and Dark - IAS #127

Hello, my friends. I'm only two days late in getting this card posted. I was supposed to do it on Sunday, but time got away from me and I'm just now getting to it. I hope all is well with all of you and that you are staying safe and warm if in a cold weather climate. I don't consider H Town a cold weather place, but we are having it anyway. It gets cold and then warms up a little and then gets cold again, and just repeats and repeats. I'm so ready for spring!

Today I have a simple card to share with you. It's for the International Art and Soul challenge #127 which is Light and Dark. The theme was chosen by our sweet DT member, Hazel.

I decided to go with a light color flower and then a darker one. and the same with the designer paper and the enamel dots. The flower images are from a Fiskars set by Teresa Collins called Flora. The sentiment did not have a name on it, so I'm not sure where it came from. I used Stampin Up Real Red cardstock and a sheet of designer paper from the My Mind's Eye, Be Happy collection. It really went together pretty quickly.

The flowers were colored with my Copic markers - G000, G00; G21, G24; R11, R12, R21; R14, R27, R37; Y11, Y15.

That's about it. I hope you'll pop on over to IAS and see what the rest of the design team has created to inspire you. Join in the fun and let's see what you can do light and dark. You could be a winner or one of the Top 3. It's all fun.
