Cuddle Cloud Baby - {Pin}spirational #46

Maggie's Cat House has 2 new residents (at least for now).  One of my feral outside kitties had twin boys about 3 months ago. She brought them to me about 6 weeks ago and I was able to trap babies and mama.  Got them all fixed.  Took the boys to a GF who is a cat rescuer to see if we could get them domesticated so I could get them adopted. That sort of worked a little bit.  One of them seems like he'll be a good companion/playmate for Maggie Mae.  The other guy still gets pretty ballistic when I open the cage door.  Not sure he's going to be able to stay.

Well, it's Tuesday again and time for another {Pin}spirational Challenge.  We have such an adorable photo this week for inspiration.
Isn't this just the cutest photo.  I took my inspiration from the baby and the colors the little girl is wearing.
Materials Used:
  •  Image - Meljen's Designs - Cuddle Cloud Baby
  • Sentiment - TPC Studio - Here Comes Baby
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Blushing Bride; Wild Wasabi; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Lili of the Valley - Nitwit Collection - Perfect Pairs
  • Ink - Stamping Up -Memento London Fog
  • Accessories - Large Flower - Prima; small flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts; Doily; Ribbon (my stash); Stickles; Nestabilities - Classic Circle
  • Copic Markers - B0000; C0; E000, E01, E11; R01, R20, R22, R30; Y17, Y19, Y35

Our fabulous sponsors this week are ---------  Meljen's Designs (of course)
and Fred She Said -
Now it's your turn.  Hope you'll come play with us this week.  Check out what the rest of the Design Teams have created for your inspiration and get inky and join us.

Valentine Finals

Valentine's Day has come and gone but I had these two cards that I made that I didn't have a chance to post.  These are actually the first 2 cards I've made that someone actually asked me to make for them and paid me to do it!  I was so excited.  They were for the grand daughters of a lady I work with.  She gave them to the girls over the weekend and the oldest (who is 4) just loved her card.  She said she brought it up close to her face to try to smell the flowers.  ;)  I could just picture her doing that.

 Materials Used:
  • Image - The Digi Garden - Ursula With Heart
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Fancy Flexible Phrases
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Bashful Blue; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Lili of the Valley Nit Wit Collection - Bonnets & Bowties (I love this paper)
  • Accessories - Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts; Leaves - Fir Branch punch from Martha Stewart; Ribbon Loop Double Edge from Martha Stewart; Doily from my stash; Nestabilities Classic Circle Die
  • Copic Markers - B0000; B12, B21, B34; E50, E51, E53; E25, E27, E35; R29, R39; R81, R83, R85; C1

I thought since the cards were related, I'd just go ahead and put them both on the same blogpost.  The images are some of the last ones I was able to buy from Jacqui (The Digi Garden) before her passing.

Materials Used:
  • Image -The Digi Garden - Molly with Polka Dot Heart
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Fancy Flexible Phrases
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Blushing Bride and Mellow Moss; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Lili of the Valley NitWit Collection - Perfect Pair (I love this one too)
  • Acccessories:  Lace - my stash; Flowers and metal corner - Wild Orchid Crafts; Leaves - Martha Stewart Leaf Punch; Nestabilities Classic Oval, and I'm not sure what the other one is called I used for the mat.
  • Copic Markers - B0000; E31, E33, E35; E50, E51, E53; R27, R29, R39; R81, R83, R85; 0
That's about it.  Guess now that I'm starting to sell some I really need to get that Etsy shop open.  I did sell another card today.  It's the one I posted yesterday - Floral Fantasia - to another lady I work with.

S is for Smile - {Pin}spirational #45

Hello, and happy Tuesday.  It's been a busy week and I actually did get some cards made, but haven't had the chance to get them posted on my blog yet.  You will probably be seeing them this week at some point.  I actually had an order for 2 Valentine cards that a girl from my office wanted to give to her little grand daughters (ages 2 and 4).  Guess I better get that Etsy shop open soon.

On to today's card for {Pin}spirational Challenge.  I really loved this photo that we had for our inspiration this week.  The colors are just so striking!
I wanted to use a little bit of the leopard print also from her dress or whatever that is, but it just didn't fit into my card.  I decided to just go with the colors from the photo.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Fresh Brewed - Coffee Talk
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Too Terrific Tags
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Taken With Teal; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Stampin Up - Sweet Shop

Furry Friends - PSC66

Happy Wednesday my friends.  Well, I know you'll probably say that we don't have it so tough down here in Texas and that you've got snow, ice, sleet, rain, hail, and every other kind of weather, but I expect Texas to be WARM and it just hasn't been much lately.  Supposed to be down in the 30's again and only up to 66 tomorrow.  Now, I have seen cold.  After all, I grew up in Pennsylvania, but now that I'm here in Texas, I'd sure like it to warm up a bit.  I guess it is what it is, and I'll learn to live with it.  ;)

So on to this week's challenge over at Perfect Sentiment. We know that this week is Valentine's Day and there are Valentine cards all over the place, so this week we're doing Friendship.  The theme is Furry Friendship.  The twist is to create a card that uses an animal image and Friendship sentiment.  It could even be a Valentine's card as long as you stick to the theme and don't forget to put that sentiment on the front of your card.

Materials Used:
  • Image - 2 Cute Ink - Furry Friends
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Quick Thinking (punched with the SU Window Punch)
  • Cardstcok - Stampin Up - Crushed Curry and Basic Black; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Authentique - Essentials Collection
  • Accessories - Ribbon (stash); Flower - Recollections; Cricut - Elegant Edges for black mat; Nestabilities Blossom Die (image);
  • Copic markers - B0000; E01, E11, E21, E25, E31, E34, E35, E55; W0, W7
Our fabulous Sponsor this week is 2 Cute Ink and they are awarded 3 free digital images to one lucky winner.
Now that we've gotten all that out of the way, it's time for you to pop on over to the Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the Design Team has in store for your inspiration.  Then it's time to break out the ink and stamps and get to work on your own creations.  It can always be a Valentine's Day card as long as you have a critter on it and a message of Friendship.  Don't forget to come back and  link it up so you'll be entered in the challenge drawing.  Good luck, and I hope to see you back again next week.

I'm submitting this card for the following challenges:

Our Daily Bread Designs - Use an Animal

Giraffe Block - {Pin}spirational #44

Hi friends.  So nice to see you back here again. Today with a little more cheerful card and since it's Tuesday, it's got to be time for another {Pin}spirational Challenge.  Valentine's Day is coming rather quickly now and sometimes it's hard to create something for the man in your life, but I really think this one would be good.  It's not all the frilly lacy ones that you would buy for a woman.
.
Materials Used:
  • Image - Bugaboo - Giraffe Block - Two Left
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - One of a Kind
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Kraft and Soft Suede; Xpress It Blending Card

Pretty easy this one - give it a try.  For more inspiration, pop on over to the {Pin}spirational Challenge blog and check out the rest of the creations by the awesome Design Teams.  You know we have two and each team has a different sponsor.

This week our sponsors are Bugaboo -
who will award a lucky winner 7 free digital images for their store and
our second sponsor is Floppy Latte -
who is awarded a $10 gift certificate to their store for one lucky winner.

In Remembrance - Jacqui of The Digi Garden

Hi friends.  If you're in the digital stamp world you probably have seen images from The Digi Garden.  I loved her images and proudly own quite a few of them.  It was with great sadness that I learned last week of Jacqui's passing.  I had just had some e-mail exchanges with her days earlier and had received her new release images.  Even though she had some health issues, it was a great shock to friends and family to learn of her passing.  I thought it only appropriate to use one of Jacqui's images to make this card that I'm sending to Lisa, her sister, to send my sympathies to Jacqui's family.

Materials Used:
  • Image - The Digi Garden - Lucy's Flower
  • Sentiment - Outside - Stampin Up Fancy Flexible Flowers; Inside says "Gentle Thoughts During These Difficult Times" from my stash
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Cranberry Crisp; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Basic Gray Lucille (I just love this paper)
  • Accessories:  Nestabilities - Classic Oval and Lacey Oval; Stampin Up small oval and large oval punches; Flowers - Prima; Glitter Brad from my stash; Lace from my stash
  • Copic Markers - B0000, B000, B01; E07, E13, E93; E50, E51, E53; E31, E33, E35; E25, E27; Y17, Y19; W3 and W5

Pussy Cat Luv - PSC65

Welcome to my Wednesday.  Hmmm. . . what can I say about this week.  Well, it's been very busy.  In addition to working all day, I've had a couple of commitments in the evening to visit some lady friends from church.  So, my blogging/stamping time is very important to my mental health!

Today is time for another Perfect Sentiments Challenge  Our theme this week is Color of Love which is so appropriate as we get closer to Valentine's Day.  Create a card with the sentiment  of Love (on the front please) and the twist is to use Red and White for your card.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish

and Robyn did provide some freebie images to use for the Design Team.
One lucky random winner will be able to choose 5 digital images from Robyn's store.

Her is the card that I created using one of the free images.

Aren't they just too cute.  With all the kitties that have passed through my life, I don't think I've ever had an orange cat.  I do have 2 little twin boy kitties that are living with a GF right now that are solid white with a little splash of black on the top of their heads and I used them sort of as a model for the white kitty in this image.
Materials Used:
  • Image - Robyn's Fetish - Pussy Cat Luv; Stampin Up - Happy Hearts
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Love Ya
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Cranberry Crisp and Wild Wasabi
  • Designer Paper - Basic Gray Lucille
  • Accessories:  Martha Stewart Leaf Punch; Marvy 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches; Flower - Prima
  • Copic Markers - R12, R22, R30, R35, R56; N0, N3, N5, Y17, Y19, Y35, and Y39
Now it's your turn.  Hop on over to the Perfect Sentiments Challenge  and check out what the rest of the Design Team has come up with.  Then break out your ink, paper, and stamps and create something for that special person in your life.  I know they will appreciate your thoughtfulness.  Hope to see you back again next week. Good luck and have a fabulous week.
