Welcome to Wednesday!  Only one more day of work and then a 3-day weekend!  Woo Hoo!  I'm so excited to have an extra day off.  Thanks to all of you for the get well wishes.  I'm doing so much better this week.  Still have a little nose blowing and a slight cough, but really about 95% better so I'm happy.  My nose isn't though.  Even though I use those tissues with the lotion in them, my little nose still got all sore from all the blowing.  Oh well, enough about me!  ;)  Time to get on to my card for this week.

Our challenge for Perfect Sentiment this week was to make a card for the theme of Brides or Babies - to create a card with a wedding theme or a baby theme. Don't forget to include your sentiment on the front.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is 2 Cute Ink

Medusa

Hi friends and happy Friday!  It's been such a week.  Came down with some kind of cold/allergy thing going on this week starting with a sore throat and now with the coughing and blowing the nose.  Hate this.  Hope all is well in your little corner of the world.

I had some time tonight to play with an image that I colored up while I was home from work yesterday.  It's for the Simply Betty Designs Fan Page Challenge for this month.  We got a free image to work with for this challenge.  All you have to do is become a Fan of Simply Betty on her Facebook page and then request the image.  The challenge this month besides using the image was to make your entry using Black/Beige + one other color.  I decided to add pink to my entry.  Here's my card.
Did you know that Medusa was once a beautiful woman, but Athena transformed her into the monstrous looking creature she became with the snakes for her hair and anyone who looked into her eyes was turned to stone.  I think this rendition of Medusa captures both her monster and beautiful sides.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Simply Betty Stamps - Medusa
  • Sentiment - Computer Generated
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Blushing Bride; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Prima - Rondelle
  • Accessories - Bling from Prima and Mark Richards-Crystal Stickers; Flower Bling - The Paper Studio; 1 1/4" circle punch; Stampin Up Scallop Punch; Lace - Wild Orchid Crafts
  • Copic markers - B000; E50, E51, E53; E21, E93, E95; R20, R21, R30, R81; N0, N2, N4, N6
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm submitting this card to the following challenges:

Moon Fairy - PSC71

Hi, and Happy Wednesday.  It's been a week already.  Yesterday I started getting a scratchy throat that did turn into a full blown sore throat.  I used a Sage Tea with Apple Cider Vinegar and honey in it for a gargle last night before bed.  It really helped so that it didn't get as bad as the last time.  I stayed home from work today so I could continue to doctor it and hope that it'll be on it's way out by tomorrow.

Right now I want to get on with my card.  Our theme this week was to create a card for the occasion of your choice using either a Fairy or Butterfly in your design.  Don't forget your sentiment on the front.

We have two sponsors this week.  First Pattie's Creations will award one lucky winner with 3 free digis from their store.

And the other sponsor is Crafty City who will award one lucky winner a $5 gift voucher to their store.
Of course in order to win, you do have to play!

Here is my card using an image from Pattie's Creations.

Happy Friday!  This has been one long week!  You would think with how busy it's been that it would have just flown by.  Looking forward to the weekend.

I do have a card to share with you today.  Simply Betty Stamps is releasing a new line of digitals stamps today called her Betty Boo's.  They are very fun.  You'll have to stop by and check them out.  She's having a one-day challenge.  Grab one of the new stamps and join in the fun.  I was able to buy a couple of the new ones on a pre-release. Materials Used:
  • Image and sentiment - Simply B Stamps - Tanya Kitty
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Kraft; Xpress It Blending Card
