Spring Flowers Birthday

Hello again. I'm back with another card today. This one is for the Challenge Your Stash group on Splitcoast Stampers. Each month there is a hostess who picks the theme for the month. Each of the members then makes a card to go with the theme and we post them on the 28th of the month. I actually had a different card that I made that was more "springy" but I realized that it was from a new to me stamp set and not from my stash, so I chose another card that I had made that I think can go along with the theme. It's spring flowers combined with a birthday theme.

Image - Art Impressions

Sentiment -  Art Impressions

Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

Cardstock - Stampin Up Regal Rose

Designer Paper

Accessories - Classic Oval Die, Scallop Oval Die, Petaloo Flowers, ribbon from my stash

Copic Markers - R81, R83, R85, E50, E53, E55; Y15, Y19, Y28, C0

Birthday Under Glass

Hello, my friends. Happy Monday. It's a beautiful day today. I have to enjoy every minute since we'll be getting some stormy weather tomorrow and later this week. They do say April showers bring May flowers. My flower beds right now are still all a mess from the winter freezes. I want to do some serious upgrading of the flower beds and landscaping this year.

I'm a bit late getting my card posted for International Art & Soul. It was supposed to be here yesterday, but I had a busy weekend with getting things ready for the kids to come for dinner yesterday. Unfortunately, my vegan granddaughter was not able to join us because of a tummy bug she picked up at work. I think she should have left it there. I did send some food home to her with my daughter. After all, it was all vegan - a delicious soup made with all kinds of veggies including chopped kale, green beans, carrots and also added some vegan sausage. Of course, had to have chocolate for dessert, so I made some vegan chocolate cupcakes which were delicious. I'm so happy that the canned frosting you buy in the stores are vegan so I don't have to make my own frosting.

On to my card. Our challenge this fortnight is Include a Circle and has been chosen by DT member Mimi.

I made this card some time ago but have not had a chance to post it for anything until now. I have a number of cards that are sitting on my desk that are waiting for their chance in the spotlight.

Materials Used:

  • Image  - Power Poppy Under Glass
  • Sentiment - My Favorite Things
  • Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - So Saffron
  • Designer Paper
  • Accessories - Stampin Up enamel dots
  • Copic Markers - B0000, B000, C0, R05, Y18

Tottie Leprechaun - CCC

Hello, my friends. Happy Monday. Well, it was pretty nice most of the day, but now the rains have moved in and we're expecting storms through the night. Luckily they will move out early in the morning and we'll have a pleasant day tomorrow.

I have a card to share with you today for the Creative Card Chicks over on Splitcoast Stampers. St. Patrick's Day is over, but we had a challenge from Sue (stampinspooky) for March to make a card for St. Patrick's Day or just make a green card. I don't do many cards for the day, but I have a few images so decided to do one to celebrate it.

I used a digital image from Fairy Ink - Tottie Leprechaun for my main focus printed on Xpress It Blending Card and a computer generated sentiment heart that says Happy St. Patrick's Day. I used Stampin Up Green Galore for the card base and mats. The designer paper is some that I have had for years in my stash, and I added two small Petaloo flowers and some green lace to finish it off. The image is colored with my Copic markers, but did not make note of the colors used.

Next up is Easter, right around the corner.

Happy Easter - IAS #129

Hello my friends. Happy Monday. Yes, I'm a day late getting this posted. Just procrastination yesterday and today I spent 90% of my day working on my 2021 income tax return. I do it myself with online software and I always use two different ones because they don't all work the same. I want to use the one that gives me the best deductions and the biggest refund! I'll look them both over again tomorrow and then decide which one to file.

I do have a card to share today for International Art & Soul. The them for this fortnight is Easter Chicks or Rabbits. I love them both and it was hard to decide, but I decided that this image was so cute and needed to be used. Besides that, it has chicks and rabbits!

Materials Used:

  • Image - Whimsey Stamps, Easter Bunny
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - So Saffron
  • Designer Paper - Wild Rose - Poet's Kitchen
  • Accessories - Flowers, Petaloo, Die - Nestabilities, Fabric Lace, Stash
  • Copic Markers - E000, E04, E11, E31, E33; R21, R32; V01, V04; Y04, Y08, Y19

That's it for today. I hope you'll pop on over to the IAS Challenge blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created. Some cute stuff over there. Come join in the fun and you could be the Winner or one of the Top 3. It's all in fun.

Kisses For You - Creative Card Chicks

Hello Friends, I hope you are all doing well. We've had some really pretty days lately, but it's not here to stay. I know that cold is still on the way. I'm so over winter and quite ready for Spring. It's been a crazy month and I'm a week late getting this card posted.

This card is for the Splitcoast Stampers group - Creative Card Chicks. Each month the hostess puts together a card kit and sends it to all the other members. Then we each make at least one card from the kit and post it on the 21st of each month. Yes, I'm late. This month our hostess was our leader, Suzy. She sent us a kit for Valentine's Day. I'm not sure mine came out exactly how I expected it to. I was trying to make a box of chocolates. You know, like Forest Gump says, "Life is just a box of chocolates."

Kit Includes:

Images and Sentiment: Inky Antics Chocolate

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Designer Paper: The Paper Studio

Accessories: - Ribbon - stash, Copic Markers

That's about it. I love this group and look forward to another year with fun kits to play with.
