Indian Betty - SBS Fan Page Challenge

Hi friends and Happy Black Friday!  Are you all out there shopping til you drop or staying in where it's warm and cozy.  I'm NOT going Black Friday shopping at the Malls, but I will be going with my extended family to take part in an annual family tradition.  Every year we go to Old Town Spring in Spring, Texas.  They have all kinds of shops and we walk around outside and visit as many of them as we can.  There are a few that are on the must go to list.  Then there is always lunch at Puffabelly's.  If I had time, I'd post a photo.  Maybe later when I get home.  It's always fun and we have over 20 of us that go.  This year that includes my older brother and his wife who came in from New Jersey to celebrate with us after about 8 years.

Getting to the job at hand.  I don't have time this morning to get all the details down for this challenge, but I wanted to get my blog post up so I could attach it to the challenge.  I will come back later and fill in all the missing details.

Sweet Day - CCC No. 50

Hi my friends!  Happy Tuesday. I hope your plans for the Thanksgiving holiday are all set.  I'll be spending time with my sister's family and our extended family.  It's always a fun time.  We do lots of family activities over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Well, something new has been added to my blog that has a connection to my recent Copic workshop Dallas trip.  I met Mari at the workshops.  Mari is the owner of the Creative Card Crew Challenge blog.  While at the workshops, she invited me to apply for her DT for Creative Card Crew and I really wasn't sure that I would have the time to be on another Design Team so I told her probably not.  But after I got home and checked it out, I decided that it would be a fun group to be associated with, so I did apply and she accepted me!  This is my first card for them and the theme is Anything Goes with Sweet Treats! How fun.  I loved using this cute stamp and creating my card.

Newspaper Man - OSAAT 190

Hi my friends! I hope you're doing well.  We had a little bit of a cold spell this week, but it has warmed up again.  Well, in spite of a flat tire and getting lost and driving round and round for an hour, I had a great time last weekend.!  LOL!   I was up in Dallas at the Copic Color & Ink Workshops event.  We learned about so many different techniques using those Copic markers and reinkers.  It was also great to see Colleen Schaan again and to meet Cindy Lawrence, both super nice and seeing Colleen again was like meeting up with an old friend

This week at One Stitch at a Time the theme is to Use a Digi - any project as long as you use a digi image.  Our sponsor this week is our own StitchyBear Digi Outlet with the prize of the complete set of images that the DT used in challenge #188.  To win the main prize you MUST use an Image from our store.  Runner up prize for a person using non store image is $3 to spend in the StitchyBear Digital Outlet.  So everyone can win something.

Over the coming weeks or months, I'll be talking about some of the things that we learned at the workshops, as I hopefully incorporate them into my work.  On Friday night after all our workshops, we had a critique session with some of the ladies at the workshops along with Cindy and Colleen.  I tell you this because it impacts my card.  I took the image that I was working on for this card so that I could get some feedback on the coloring.  I wish I had taken a photo of it before because after I got home, I reworked it and it turned into the image I used on this card.

Knowing what it looked like before, I think it turned out pretty good on the second try.  And I'm really not so great at doing masculine cards.  I really think it needs something more, but couldn't figure out what.  The layout I used was SC388.
