Sparkle and Shine - IAS # 43

Hi friends. Happy Sunday. At least I hope it is where you are. We are to have some nice weather today after days and days of rain. I'm tired of it. Also, our weather is starting to cool off. I'm so not ready for the cold yet.

Since Glynda had her bladder stones, she has been on a different diet. I had five large bags of Kit & Kaboodle stored in my garage. I like to have food storage for my kitties too. The outside kitties all have to be on the same diet as Glynda so I needed to get rid of that extra food. This morning after my hair trim appointment I went by Friends For Life, a no-kill animal shelter and took them all the bags of food. They were very appreciative. I support them on a monthly basis because if anything happens to me, that's where I want my kitties to go to find loving new homes.

I do have a card to share today. This is one that I created at the CKC Convention back in August. It is from Stamplistic. I love their stamps.  This one is called Love Is Love and to make this card, we cut off the outside circle with the words in it.  http://www.stamplistic.com/product.php?id_product=3604

They are made so you can use the stamp by itself or you can use the all-in-one die and cut it out with that, or you can use their layered die cuts where each piece of the stamp has it's one die so you can layer it all up.

For this one, the green and purple sparkle are solid colors and then the black lace are die cuts. Those are real Swarovski crystals layered on top.

For this challenge at International Art & Soul, the theme was NOT CAS - Layer It Up! I hope you'll pop on over to see what the rest of the Design Team has created and we would LOVE to see what you create.

Autumn - Challenge Your Stash

Hi my friends. I hope you've been having a great week. I can't believe September is almost over. It did get a little cooler this morning and it felt nice, but I don't want it to get much cooler than it is. Haha! Like that's going to happen.

Second week of school is almost done. It's a lot of work, but I'm learning some interesting things.

Today I have a card for the Challenge My Stash challenge on Splitcoast. Each month one of the members picks a theme for us to use to make our card. We are only allowed to use things that we already own in our "stash."  This month our hostess was Barb and she challenged us to make a Fancy Fold card with the theme of Autumn. I just  happened to have the perfect stamp for that, but I didn't have a clue about the fancy fold. I did a little searching on the Internet and found some new and different ones.

This is my card all folded up. I was having some trouble with it staying closed for the photo, so I have it paperclipped at the top.

Here it is open. You can see the hint of what's inside.
And here it is open and flat to see the whole inside.
I did forget to write down the name of the blog where I found all the pretty fancy fold cards. I saved it on the other laptop, so I'll have to check that out and add it here.

That's it. I'll see you back here in a few days.

Birthday Blooms

Hello friends. Well, for once in a very long time I'm on time with my post for the Creative Card Chicks Monthly Challenge. The Chicks are a group of ladies who have a monthly challenge. We have a new hostess every month who sends us all a card kit with images, sentiments, designer paper, and various embellishments and then we all get to make a card or more. Our posting dates are between the 21st and 23rd of each month.

This month our hostess was Sue (stampinspooky). I was thrilled to get her kit because it contained flowers! I love working with all kinds of flowers and this one lent itself to some fun shading.

Bloom With Hope - IAS #42

Good morning my friends. Sorry I am so late getting this posted. I got distracted this past weekend with the start of the Fall Semester of school! Yes, I'm a college student attend BYU-Idaho Online. I'm at the start of my dream of becoming a certified genealogist. Family History Research has been my passion for a long time.

I've also been away from IAS for some time now too. I was finishing up my studies through the Pathway Connect program and graduating from that program July 26. I'm glad to be back and hope to do better getting my projects done and posted.

Happy Bee-Day!

Hi my friends and Happy Sunday!  We just had a whale of a storm come through with really high gusts of wind and drenching rain! The word from the weatherman is that we should be having even more rain throughout this week. I hope it's not as bad as it was today.

I am so behind on my blog posts and am going to try to catch up. Maybe I can do one a day until it's time for a current one. The first one I have is one I did for the July Monthly Challenge for Creative Card Chicks, a group of us who exchange stamp kits every month. In July, Terry was the hostess and she sent us a really cute kit with a couple of theses images from a retired Stampin Up set. So cute. She also included the designer paper and some cute embellishments to use. Here is my creation:

I colored my image with Copic Markers: B0000, B01, B14; E30, E31, E34, E35; G12, G14, G21; R81, R83; Y32, Y35, Y38; YR02.

That's it for today. I hope to be back tomorrow with another belated card. Have a great day.
