Teapot Tuesday - Swing Into Spring

This is the first time I've taken part in the SCS Teapot Tuesday Destination Station, but the recipient this time is a very dear friend of mine - Sonja Bailey!  Sonja and her family have gone through a lot of trials this past year.  You can read her story here -  It's the last post on the page.  Sonja is one of the kindest, nicest people I know and I've not even met her in real life yet!  She never has a harsh or unkind word to say about anyone so this stamp and sentiment I thought were perfect for her card.

One of Sonja's favorite colors is Teal, so the base of my card is made using SU Taken With Teal.  I used decorative scissors (Sunflower) to trim off the bottom of the pattern paper - SU Petals and Paisley.  The image was stamped using Memento Black onto Copic Blending Paper and colored with my Copic markers.  BG0000, BG11, BG45, BG409; E23, E25, E27; E31, E34, E35; E50, E51, E53; R30, R37, RV04; YG03, YG95, Y11, Y21, Y23.  The image is matter on a layer of Vellum Cardstock cut using Nestabilities Die Lacey Ovals.  I put one small pearl in the center of each scallop.  From my stash - Teal crochet lace, brads, teal ribbon made into a bow using the Mini Bowdabra.
Don't be intimidated by it.  It's really very easy to use and makes great bows.
The sentiment was stamped on GP White using SU Taken With Teal.  To finish it off, I put a row of brads across the bottom and popped a larger pearl in the center of the bow.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate all of your comments.
