Pick of the Patch - CCC October

 Hello my friends and Happy Monday. I hope you all had a great weekend. This has been a busy, but fun month for me. I celebrated a really BIG birthday on Saturday, but I've been celebrating with my family all month since my sister's birthday was on the 12th. 

My cards for the Creative Card Chicks was due to be posted on Saturday, the 21st, but I was busy with finishing up some school work and then dinner with family. Each month the CCC has a hostess who either sends a kit or posts a challenge for us to follow. Then we will all make at least one card from the kit or for the challenge and post it between the 21 and 23 of each month. For October , Roxie was our hostess and sent us a Fall/Halloween themed kit. She sent us a little kit with lots of embellishments to use and also a couple of images if we wanted to use them. So far I was able to create two cards out of the kit and used some of each. These are both Fall or Thanksgiving cards.

This one used the Stampin Up Apple Harvest stamp set although I colored them to look like peaches. The designer paper is Stampin Up All About Autumn. I believe the leaves and sentiments also come from Stampin Up. The image is colored with Copic Markers.

I did not do any coloring or stamping on this one. The pumpkins came already stamped. I think this one is Stampin Up, Pick of the Patch stamped with Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie. Again, the designer paper is Stampin Up, All About Autumn.

Carol's Card Kits

Hello my friends, and Happy Tuesday! I hope it's been a good start to your week. Yesterday was a long day. I have to have cataract surgery on my left eye. I'm hoping that will help a lot with the fuzziness I've been experiencing for some time now. I thought I'd have a quick doctor appointment, but no way. I was there for three hours!!!!  Finally got it scheduled though for the middle of November. Not much got done after that since they had to dilate my eyes and I couldn't see clearly even by the time I went to bed. 

Back to working on school work today. I hate having to think. LOL! Anyway, I do have two cards to share with you today. I belong to a card swap group. There are six of us in the group and so we each have two months of the year that we are the "hostess" or recipient of card kits from the other five members of the group. We get to pick the theme of our kits which is great so you can get the kind of cards you are wanting to make. This year I had April and October. I'm just now posting some of the cards from the kits I received back in April. Let's face it, I'm slow and I tend to procrastinate. The cards that I'm posting are from Carol aka momcgw on SCS. These were fun images.

Glenda Gnome

 Hello, my friends. I hope you are having a great weekend. After a month or more of triple digit temperatures, I woke up this morning to 55* and now it's 69*. Nothing in Texas is half way. I'm sure it will warm up some over the coming days, but I hear there is another cold front heading our way next weekend. Time to get out the long pants and sweaters.

Friday was the first Friday of the month, so it was time for another Pattie's Creations card to share. It is always Anything Goes at Pattie's Creations, but this month we also had an Autumn/Fall theme to use if desired. I thought this image of Glenda Gnome was so cute. I've really taken a liking to gnome images.
