Autumn Blessing Girl - CYS

Hello again. Seems I have another card to share today. I'm a little late in posting this one. It's for the Challenge Your Stash challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. I was supposed to post it on September 28, but when I went to do that I realized I had done a card for the October theme and not for September, so back to the drawing board (or craft table). Each month there is a different hostess and she picks the theme for the month. Then we all make a card according to the theme, but we use items that are in our stash already so no new supplies are used. This month our hostess was Vickie Y and her them was Autumn Leaves.

 Materials Used:

  • Image - Bugaboo - Autumn Blessing Girl
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Painted Harvest
  • Card Stock - Stampin Up - Pumpkin Pie; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Carta Bella - Hello Autumn
  • Accessories  - Die cut leaves; Martha Stewart Leaf Punch
  • Copic Markers - E21, E23, E25; E50, E51; G21, G28; N0; Y13, Y18; YR04, YR07, YR21

This was a fun challenge and easy to put together once I decided on an image to use. Sorry that Bugaboo is no longer in business. She had some great designs and some that you will see from time to time on my blog.

Take A Bite

Hello, my friends. Happy Friday. I hope you are all safe from Hurricane Ian. I have several friends and family down in Florida and, thankfully, they are all safe with no damage to self or property. I know many are not so lucky. Sending up prayers for all in Florida and those still in the pathway.

I do have a card to share with you today. This one is for the current challenge over at Power Poppy. I've been a fan for a long time and own many clear stamps and digi stamps by Marcy. I've just started actually participating in the monthly challenge over there. I'm also proud that my card for last month was picked as the winner of the challenge and received a $20 gift card to the shop (which I've already used). The theme for this month is to make a card for The Blossom Challenge: Eat Your Fruit and Veggies. You must use one of the Power Poppy stamps featuring fruit or vegetables.

Materials Used:

  • Image - Power Poppy - All Things Apple-
  • Sentiment -Power Poppy - All Things Apple
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Wild Wasabi
  • Designer Paper - October Afternoon - Farm Girl
  • Accessories - Recollections - bling
  • Copic Markers - B0000; E01, E30, E31, E33; E40; G000, G20, G21; N1; R20, R21

That's all for this one. I hope you will hop on over to see what the Design Team has created and join in the fun. You could be the winner.

Thinking of You - IAS #143

Good morning my friends. Happy Sunday. I hope you are having a great weekend. Mine has been pretty good except for a tumble I took when I went to get my car inspected yesterday. There was a heavy plastic reflector on the ground close to where I parked my car which I didn't notice. That is, until my right foot stubbed into it and I went down on my left hand and left knee. I do have a small injury to my left hand, a larger injury to my left knee and also ripped my good black jeans. Also, got a big bruise on my left hip and some muscle aches and pains along my left side. Thankfully, I didn't break anything since my doctors cautious me all the time to be careful so I don't break any bones. So recovering from that.

I do have a card to share with you today. I seldom have a card that I can use for a sympathy card in a pinch. I think this one would fit the bill. This was made for the International Art & Soul challenge. Each challenge theme is picked by one of the Design Team members. This fortnight's challenge theme is Wood/Trees and was picked by Mimi. This was not too hard to put together and not much coloring done except that I had to color the green and brown of the tree separately before stamping it on paper. Then I fussy cut the tree out and added the sentiment.

Materials Used:

  • Image - Stampin Up - Thoughts and Prayers
  • Sentiment - Same as image
  • Ink - Stampin Up - Chocolate Chip, Glorius Green
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Whisper White, Glorius Green
  • Designer Paper - Basic Gray - Carte Postale
  • Accessories - Memory Box grass die

No coloring was done with this card. I hope you will pop on over to IAS and see all the great creations that the rest of the Design Team have recreated to inspire you. While there, join in the fun and let's see your wood/trees designs. Have a great week.
