Sprinkle a Little Love - CYS

Good morning my friends. Happy Tuesday. It's a bit on the cold and rainy side today here in H Town. I'll be going out in a bit to spend some time at my church building. Last Friday there was a horrific explosion of a manufacturing company close by where my church building is located. One of our members had her home severely damaged by the blast and over 200 other families were also affected in the area. The blast was felt by some living a half an hour away. Our building also suffered some minor damage, but nothing structurally. The Red Cross is using it this week as a staging place for people to come to who need to get assistance and a couple people from our church need to be in the building while they are there. I and another lady will be there today from 10-2. We don't have to do anything, just be a presence in the building. Please pray for those who were affected and will have to be out of their homes for some months while they are being repaired.

That being said, I do have a card to share with you today. This is for the monthly Challenge Your Stash group on Splitcoast Stampers. Each month one of the members chooses a theme for the month and we all make a card to go along with the theme using only items from our stash. No new things can be used. Our hostess for this month was Laurajean and her them was Sprinkle a Little Love. So perfect with Valentine's Day coming up. I was talking to a friend recently about card making and we were discussing how we can make cards to send to our other lady friends. They don't always have to be for a love interest. I used all the elements of a Valentine's Day card, but made the sentiment so it could be sent to anyone for any reason.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Bildlamarna - Tossa with Falling Hearts
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Sprinkle of Love
  • Card Stock - Stampin Up - Pink Pirouette; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - CC Designs - Smoochie Paper Pad
  • Accessories - Doily and ribbon - my stash
  • Copic Markers - E30, E31, E33, E35; E50, E51, E53; R00, R14, R24, R37; R81, R83, R85; T10
That's it for today.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Fox Friend

Good morning my friends. It is a cold and rainy day here in H Town. Not my favorite kind of weather. Good day to stay in. Today I have another 2020 Christmas card to share. I made this for the Splitcoast Stampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge which is to make cards every month following a certain theme that is chosen by the moderator. 2020 are color themes for each month. The month of January's theme is Kraft so the main color focus needs to be Kraft. Here is my card.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Stampendous, Fox Friend
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up, Cute Converse
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up, Kraft; Express It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye, Santa Claus
  • Accessories - Stampin Up, Crumb Cake ribbon; Recollections, bling
  • Copic Markers - E30, E31, E33, E37; G05; R 46, R56, T0, T10; YR04
My little sentiment went on a little skewed, so I'll probably stamp it again on a scrap, cut it out and past it over this one. I just didn't have the time right now to do that. Hope you all have a great day.

This is one I created for the Creative Card Chicks Monthly challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. This month our hostess was Roxie (morgainegeiser on SCS). She sent us this cute image and winter kit. Peaceful Petals - IAS

Good morning and Happy Sunday. Wishing you all a Happy New Year. I hope that it is the best one ever for you and me too! School starts up again in just a few days. It's been great to have a little time off. I went to California to visit my oldest daughter over the Christmas holiday. It was such fun to be with them and both of my granddaughters. It was more special because my oldest granddaughter and her husband will be moving back to California from Utah so she can take a new job there. Everyone is so happy for them and my daughter is over the moon happy to have one of her daughters back close to her.

It's now time to get back into the creative mode and I have made this card for the first challenge of 2020 for International Art and Soul.  The theme for this fortnight submitted by Jane is Monochromatic. I did the best I could with golds/bronze.

Materials Used:
  • Image and Sentiment - Stampin Up Peaceful Petals
  • Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up Baked Brown Sugar
  • Accessories - Martha Stewart - Elegant Filigree Butterflies; The Paper Co. Studios- Autumn Harvest  Jewels
  • Copic Markers - E87; Y18, Y19, Y28
I case'd this card from sleepininseattle on splitcoaststampers who case'd it from Precious Kitty who used it for a Teapot Tuesday card MMTPT434.

I hope you will come join us for the New Year and pop over to see what the rest of the design team has created.

Merry Christmas - Blue and Gold

Hello, my friends and Happy New Year. It is the second day of 2020. I hope you are all enjoying the new year and that many blessings come to you throughout. I know I am looking forward to a better year to come.

Right now I am catching up on cards that should have been made and posted in 2019. This one is for the Challenge Your Stash challenge on splitcoast stampers. Our hostess was Barb (barbaralynn) and her theme was to make a card with no stamping but using dies. This was my final Christmas card for 2019.
Materials Used:
  • Dies - Stampin Up, Delicate Ornaments, and Merry Christmas
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Shimmery White; Whisper White; gold metallic
  • Designer Paper - Don't remember where this came from. It was in a 6 x 6 paper pack that I've put away, I'll have to dig it out to see.
  • Accessories - Gold metallic thread.
That's all for today. I still have a couple things to catch up on, but life is busy.
