Hummingbirds - Challenge Your Stash

Hello again!  Post number 2 for the day. Can't believe it's the end of February already. We are ending on a chilly note. You know what they say - In like a lion, out like a lamb!

This post is for another group I belong to on Splitcoaststampers - Challenge Your Stash. The idea is to make a card using only things that you already have in your stash - nothing new. Our hostess for this challenge was LauraJean. She gave us the challenge to "Take Flight." Think things that fly.  I was looking through my 1000's of digital images and found this gorgeous one. I love hummingbirds and thought it would be perfect. The lighting makes that large flower look more purple, but it's kind of mauve.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Ching Chou Kuik - Hummingbirds
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Good Greetings
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up; Mauve Mist, Certainly Celery
  • Designer Paper - Prima - Princess collection
  • Ink - Stampin Up - Certainly Celery
  • Accessories - Eyelet trim; liquid pearls; Wild Orchid Crafts - flowers; Martha Stewart Leaf punch;Stickles, Nestabilities Classic Round die; Stampin Up Window punch.
  • Copic Markers - BG07, BG13, BG15; E50, E51, E53; G24; R00, R20, R30; V0000, V01; Y15, Y21, Y28; YG11, YG13; YR18, YR24
So that's it!  Let's let February go and move on to March!

  2. Hi Maggie - just popped over to see what you're up to at the moment and saw this one. I love her images and you have coloured her so prettily! I'm with you re hummingbirds but have only every seen one in real life when we went on holiday to St Lucia - that really was an experience. Big hugs to you Sue Pxxx

  3. Wow, gorgeous! Your coloring is amazing, and such pretty, delicate papers. Prima has some really nice papers. We have hummingbirds that stay year round. They do eat bugs for protein, but get their energy from tree sap in the winter time. Can't seem to get many at the feeders, though. I just waste sugar.
