Hello my friends and another happy Sunday! Hope you are all doing well. We had an eventful week this past week. We have a new addition to our family. Her name is Sweet Petunia and I sure hope that she grows into that name. Currently she is a real feisty little kitty. I'll have to post a picture some other time. All of mine are on my phone and I need to upload to my computer. Her mom is Frosty who I took to have spayed last week. She went missing for a couple days but is now back in the fold in the backyard on the patio. She's doing well. Petunia has been crated since she came home Tuesday night, but I decided that yesterday she was coming out to mingle with the other 4 kitties. Well, that didn't go as well as I hoped it would. It's 2 against 2. Paisley and Corey hiss and growl at her. Casper and Maggie Mae aren't quite sure, but they are being polite. Petunia doesn't let it get her down. She's all over the place. Oh, and she does not walk at all. She runs everywhere! Today she learned how to get on my bed, so that's where she's curled up right now. I put her back in the storage room at night where she can eat in peace since I know the other kitties would be her best friend so they could get at her food. It worked well last night. And then I gave her breakfast in there also. I will probably keep that up for some time while she's still eating kitten food. There is dry food out in the house where the other kitties eat, so she does have access to food during the day when she gets hungry although I have not seen her eat any of that yet. So wish us luck that they will all decide to live in some sort of harmony.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Sweet Petunia will always be full of piss and vinegar, but she'll have the sweetness, too. Congratulations on your new family member! I hope they all learn to get along soon.
