Challenge: Create a card with a sentiment of congratulations or any sentiment that acknowledges an accomplishment or encourages someone to pursue their dreams/goals. Examples include: Congrats, You Did It, Dream Big, So Proud of You, You Rock, Shoot for the Stars, etc. Remember your sentiment must be on the front of the card.
Twist: Use the attached sketch as inspiration for your card design. Feel free to rotate or flip the sketch to make it work for you as long as we can still see the basic outline of the sketch in your design.
No problem with the sketch, but I just had a tough time finding the right stamps to use for this challenge. I now know that I need to work on getting more sentiments although I have been finding lately that I can computer generate my own. Maybe something to think about. So here's the card that I finally came up with after searching through all the stamps that I own.
I did flip the sketch so that it would cooperate with my layout. I decided on the Stampin Up First Edition pattern paper and since it is Vanilla and Black, I went with that color combo.
Materials I used:
Image - Stampendous Cap & Gown Day stamped with Memento Black Ink.
Cardstock - Stampin Up Ultrasmooth Vanilla, Basic Black, Brilliant Blue, and Summer Sun
Embossing Folders - Congratulations and Swiss Dots
Nestabilities - Lacey Oval Die
Stars - SU Small Star punch; bling from my stash
Copics - B24 and Y35.
