Tin Man

It is NOT Tuesday, but this card was made for Teapot Tuesday only this week it's Tickle A Teapotter where we get to send a card to one of the other Teapotters.  How fun.  I love getting Happy Mail.  Check out this thread over on SCS if you want to join in the fun.  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/teapot-tuesdays-f260/tickle-teapotter-~-xenas-antares-t547177.html  I also used the SC369 for the sketch layout.

This card just all fell together so easily, and I just love how it turned out.  The theme is Out of This World, so this just filled the bill just perfectly.  I used SU Soft Sky as my base card and layered some Basic Gray Archaic in different layers.  Love this paper, but I'm beginning to think I love all the BG papers.  I just can't go wrong.  The image is Tin Man from Technique Tuesday.  I stamped him with Memento Black on Copic Blending paper and distressed it a little bit using SU Going Gray ink.  I then matted it on a piece of the BG Archaic paper and layered that on the other layers of BG that I used.

I stamped the sentiment from Tin Man on GP white and used my corner rounder on 2 opposite corners and then layered it on the same piece of BG that I used for the image and also cut those corners and then popped it up on some SU Dimensionals.

To finish it off, I took 3 brown brads and cut the tails off of them and just glued them to the upper corner of the card.  The Copics I used were BG0000; C1, C3, C5, Y0000, and Y06.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog.  I appreciate all your comments and hope you have an awesome day.

  1. I was getting ready to comment on your card on SCS and saw the name of your blog, which made me giggle, so I thought I'd pop over and take a look. Firstly, your card is so cute - and the tin man is just darling - and you've colored him up perfectly -adorable card. Next, your cats are gorgeous - I had 3, however, one passed about a year ago. (He looked just like your first cat at the top of your blog). Anyway, love your blog and your cats - I'll be back!! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Thanks for coming by Kathy. I'm so sorry about your kitty. It's hard to have them leave us, but I still wouldn't trade them. That's Paisley. She's a Russian Blue and would you believe her sibling is Chancey who is the kitty on the right side of the header.
