Our hostess for June was our wonderful leader - Suzy (SuzyS1104 on SCS). Suzy sent us some cute gnomes. I just love gnomes and have collected a few.

Hello Sunshine - Creative Card Chicks - May

 Hello my friends. I hope you all are doing okay. I just finished up week 10 of this semester. I am so ready for it to be over. American Government is kicking my bu**. At least I have something to share with you. I'm a little late with my posts, but that's what happens when life gets in the way.

The first card I'm going to share is from the May challenge. Our hostess was Sue (stampinspooky on SCS). Sue sent us some paper, enamel dots, twine, and some sentiments. She also sent a layout challenge which I used for my card. Sue did not say where the sentiment was from. The challenge was to use both sides of the designer paper on the card.

This was a fun and easy card to make and can be used for lots of different cards with an image on either of the circles. 

 

CCC April Monthly Challenge - Sunflower Wishes

 Here is the second card I made from Terry's card kit (terry serman). It was so fun playing with this little bee stamp and the beautiful papers she sent us.

 This is very similar to the first card that I made only it's turned sideways. I used another sticker from the Graphic 45 Let It Bee collection that says, Sunflower Wishes and Honey Bee Kisses. I used Copic markers to color it, this time using Y15, T7, and G21. I still have some leftovers and look forward to making a few more cards with this kit.

CCC - Let It Bee

 Good morning. Just. Happy Saturday. I hope you are all doing well and storm free. We had a rather wet day yesterday but glad to see the sun shining today even if there is a slight chill in the air. Second week done for this semester - only 12 more to go until summer break.

This is the first of two cards to share today. Our hostess this month was Terry (terry serman) She sent us such a cute kit with little bees (a bee stamp) and pretty flowers. Bees are almost as good as butterflies. I made two cards so far from the kit. Here is the first one.

I don't know what I did with the instructions from Terry that tells what the dsp is but it's so pretty. She did include the strip of washi tape which I used for a border at the bottom. I used my oval Nestabilities die to cut out the image and the mat. I think I used SU Crushed Curry for the mat and card base. I did not write that down. I used a yellow enamel dot for the center of the flower and some Stickles Crystals on the wings. For the sentiment I used a sticker from the Let It Bee Graphic 45 collection. I love their products. The sketch is from SCS Sketch Challenge 447.  I used Copic markers to color in the bee - C21, T7, and Y18.
 

CCC - Love You Deer-Ly for March 2026

 Here I am again with the last of my cards for catching up. I'll be back later in the month with my April card. I was the hostess for our March challenge. I decided to use this NBU image and die set from Technique Tuesday. It has so many sentiments with it that you can use it for just about any holiday or occasion.

 Supplies Used:

CCC - February Valentine Challenge by Suzy

 Hello again. I'm on a roll so why quit. The February challenge on Creative Card Chicks - SCS came from Suzy (SusyZ1104). She gave us a lot of detail for her challenge - Valentine's Day. I need to do more of these. I do a lot of Christmas cards and then drop off usually to get birthday cards done. Once my classes are done at the end of the year, I hope to have more time for creating. Lots of hearts on this one.

 The dsp comes from Recollections. I think you can find this at Michaels stores. I believe she said that the images were from Deadbeat Designs who are no longer in business. I stuck to a simple card just using the supplies that Suzy sent. I did color the chocolate kiss and the postage sticker with my Copic markers - E47, R46, and RV63. I think I used SU Pretty in Pink for my card base. 

CCC - December 2025 Summertime Challenge

 Hello, friends. I'm still playing catch up and might just do it here soon. My school semester is just about over, so I'll have about a 2-week break before the next one starts. Just two semesters more to go and I'll be DONE! I can't believe that soon I'll have a bachelor's degree, something that I've always wanted to do. It has only taken me eight years since I started!!!

Well, to get down to the card making. This one is a leftover from 2025 - Creative Card Chicks - from hostess Vikki Jo. I was late getting in to start because my first kit never showed up at my house, so Vikki Jo had to send me a second kit and then it was the holidays and then school started again. She sent us a very summer-themed kit and I just used what was in the kit - no coloring or images. 

 

 Sorry, but she did not include where the paper or embellishments came from, so I don't have any information for it. It was fun and I still have some leftovers, so maybe more summer cards coming up.

I used Stampin Up Crushed Curry for my card base and mats. 

Warm Hugs - CCC - January 2026

 Hi again. This is card No. 3. My first card for 2026. This kit was sent by Roxie (morgainegeiser). Roxie sent us a cute stamp set from Echo Park as well as beautiful designer paper.

Creative Card Chicks - November 2025

 Hi again. Here is catch up number 2 for November 2025. This card kit was sent by Sue as the hostess for November.  

 Sue sent us the Birthday embossed card stock sheet. I used it for the background. She also sent a piece of vellum with balloons (Paper Studio) all over it. I also used a banner die from Emily Moore Designs. The images are from my stash. I need to go check and see which one it was from. A fun happy birthday card. 

 

Creative Card Chick - 2025 Catch Up - Joyful Life

 Hi, my friends, It has been a long time since I've posted anything. The last two months of 2025 were crazy. Under the weather with different ailments and then the holidays. I also lost my sweet Maggie Mae in November. She was nineteen and three months years old and was the sweetest little kitty in the world. I still miss her and expect to see her out waiting for some breakfast. 

Starting in January it was back to school and I'm taking three classes that keep me very busy all week. I'm grateful to finally have some time to get these cards posted. This is the first of three to catch up. I still have one more to work on and then there is February. So hopefully I'll be able to get those done soon. Can't promise anything. 

This card is from Terry. She was the hostess for October 2025. She sent the image, designer paper, and the embellishments.

The image and sentiment here is from Stampin Up Joyful Life. The DSP sent was Leaf Pile. She also included the leaf embellishment and the green dots. The inside sentiment says, "Friends like Joy make life a Joy." I used Copics to color the image, but neglected to write down the colors. 

If You Have Lemons - Creative Card Chicks

 Hello, my friends. I'm finally back with another of my Creative Card Chick creations that I am catching up on. This one is from back in August. Suzy (suzys1104) was the hostess and she sent us this cute kit of all things lemons. My favorite drink is lemonade and I pretty much drink it all year round in different flavors. 

This is kind of a quilt design, but I got it from a collection from Club Scrap - Coming Up Roses. It fit perfectly with all the images and dsp that Suzy sent. There is just a little basic coloring for the pitcher of lemonade.

The items Suzy sent were Parklane DSP - lemons and flowers and the yellow.white baker's twine. I used Stampin Up Crushed Curry for the base and the round mat. The sentiment is from Endless Creations - Sweetest Year Yet. The small mats are from my stash.

September - Creative Card Chicks - Mr. Megaphone

 Hi, friends,

Yes, it is time for the September Creative Card Chicks challenge. I am still catching up and need to do July and August, but thought since I was ready, I'd go ahead and post September. Also, I'm the hostess for this month, so good to be on time. Every month we have a different hostess who picks the theme or sends a kit out. Since I am still recovering from my hand surgery, I chose to send a challenge to the group. The challenge was to do a masculine card using a fancy fold. They could also use a stamp that they normally couldn't use because of the angel policy or they could use a digital image. I'm excited to see all the different cards that they make. Here is mine.

My image is from Twistoon digi stamps created by Lisa Twistoon. She does free digi stamps now so you can go to her website twistoon.com and download five free images every day. I still have a bunch from when she was selling them. This one is called Mr. Megaphone. Her images are all a little bit wonky which I love.

The sentiment inside is from SU Balloon Adventures.

My fancy fold is from Karen Titus, Create With Us. For her cards, she used a piece of 5 1/2 x 12 double sided designer paper. This was my first try so I just used a piece of cream cardstock from my stash. Either way, you score the paper at 1 3/4, 4 3/4, and 7 3/4. Fold on all score lines, but have a hill in the middle and glue them together. That makes like a little book. I stamped the image twice and mounted it on a blue SU cardstock. I need to look to see which it was. I didn't write it down. Line up the second image behind the first and attach it to the inside fold. Then take your sentiment and line it up behind the first two images and glue it down on the inside. You can see above how it looks from the outside and then how it looks open. The designer paper I used was from Pink Paislee - Birthday Bash. 

I used my Copic markers to color the images and stamped the sentiment with Memento, Tuxedo Black. It was fun to look at a lot of different fancy fold cards. I need to start doing more of that to make cards more interesting.

 

June - Creative Card Chicks - Little Things

 Back again to share another of my catch up cards for Creative Card Chicks. Today's card came from a kit sent by Vikki Jo. She sent us all a ton of stuff including dies and cardstock. Our challenge was to look on SCS for the Featured Stamper on June 1 (Mary Ross) and use one of her card images to make our card.  Here is my card.

Everything on this card was in the packet sent by Vikki Jo. I used my Copic markers to color in the flower and the butterfly. I do miss seeing all my Monarch butterflies around my house since I don't raise them anymore. It became a lot of work. I love how this card turned out and I hope that we all take time to enjoy the little things.
 

May Creative Card Chicks

 Hello my friends. Yes! I am finally back. It has been forever since I've posted on my blog. I had hand surgery back in March and was in a brace for six weeks. Then I wasn't allowed to do any PT for two weeks. I started PT 7 weeks after my surgery. PT went until the end of July. Now I have another minor surgical procedure coming up on the 24th for my left thumb which has a trigger thumb. The top joint of my thumb does not bend anymore. My doctor says it can be fixed by a simple procedure to loosen the tendon. I sure hope so. I'm ready to be done with this. Luckily it should not require any PT after the surgery. He says it will be fixed right after the surgery is done. I'm counting on it. Mostly the rest of my hand is doing okay. I still have some tingling in that nerve that runs across the base of my thumb, but I can deal with that.

 Glad to be back to crafting again. It has taken me awhile to catch up on all the Creative Card Chick challenges, but I'm finally there. This is my first one which is from May.  It was sent by Sue (stampinspooky). She sent us the image and the designer paper and we were to create a card for Spring.

Fluffy Fabulous - Creative Card Chicks

 Hello my friends from a very cold H  Town. I am really ready for this cold weather to be over. I really, really do not like the cold. I have been keeping busy though with making mini albums and creating some cards.  Today I have a card to share for  the February Creative Card Chicks challenge. This month our hostess was Roxie (morgainegeiser on SCS). She sent us a cute little Unity stamp and sentiment to use as well as some designer paper. We were to use our  own supplies  to create our card.

 I thought the image was so cute. The image and sentiment are from "Flock" from Unity Stamps as well as the designer paper (Barnyard Bouquet). I thought the paper went really well with the image. I used Stampin Up Crushed Curry for my mat and base card. I cut two strips of the gingham and one strip of the roosters. I used a circle punch for my image and then used my Copic markers to color it in. I just got some little brushed gold embellishments from Stampin Up so I stuck a little dragonfly on the image just for fun. Thanks Roxie for the cute stamp.

Suzy's Flakey Friends - Creative Card Chicks

 Hello, my friends. It's been a long time since I have posted. Holidays, storms, snow - all kinds of crazy things here. I'm happy to say that our temps have warmed up and I can come out of hiding in my cave. I'm very late with this post, but glad to have been able to finally get it done. This is our first Creative Card Chicks challenge for 2025 and our hostess was our fabulous leader - Suzy. She sent us the images to use and we were to use our own stash to supply the rest of what was needed for our card. 

Suzy sent us the images and sentiments - Stampin Up, Flaky Friends stamped on Recollections 110# white using Memento Tuxedo Black.

She also sent us the snowflake dies which were punched using Martha Stewart punches using Recollections Shimmer Silver paper.

I used Stampin Up Rose Red for my mats and My Mind's Eye Mistletoe Magic designer paper. The snowmen were dressed up using my Copic markers - B0000, B12, C6, C10; G24; R17; Y15, Y19; and YR07.

I hope that I can be more timely in getting my cards posted this year. I'm very good at procrastinating.

Happy Wishes - Creative Card Chicks

 Hello my friends. I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted anything on here. It's been a busy time with getting ready for the holidays. I have been able to spend a little time in my craft room, but haven't posted. I've worked on a few mini albums and love making them. I finally got the nerve up to make one on my own. More about that later when I get it finished.

For now, I have a card to share for the December Creative Card Chicks monthly swap. This month Sue was our hostess and she sent us some lovely butterflies to work with. I love butterflies and flowers. The challenge was to make a card using black and white and a pop of color. Maybe I used two pops of color, but I like how it came out.

As you can see there was very little coloring done on this one. I did use Copic's G21 for the pop of green on the image. 

The image is from Hero Arts. The designer paper is from Stampin Up Pattern Party (retired), The card stock is also Stampin Up - Granny Apple Green and Crushed Curry. Sue sent along the sequins too, from her stash.

That's all there is today. I hope to get back into more crafting after the first of the year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you.

Beachy Christmas in July - CCC

 Hello, my friends. I'm back again with another late card for the Creative Card Chicks. This kit was sent to us by Suzy (SuzyS1104) back in July.

The Santa image is from Stampin Up So Santa; The tree and shells are from Stampin Up, Beachy Little Christmas Tree. Such fun images to play with. I loved creating the "beachy" scene. I thought the sentiment was perfect for it. The designer paper is from Paper Studio - Caribbean Water and Sand Photo. I colored the images with Copic markers and then fussy cut them all out. The scene is just pasted on a blank white card.

OSW Flowers - Creative Card Chicks

 Hello, my friends. Happy last day of September. I can't believe how long it has been since I've posted here on my blog. Life does have a way of getting in the way. I am way behind on my posts for Creative Card Chicks so I'm going to work my way backward. Creative Card Chicks is a group on Splitcoast Stampers. Each month we have a hostess who puts together a card kit with images, designer paper, embellishments, and so forth. Then we each get to make cards from the kit and share them on our forum or blogs. September was Vikki Jo's turn. She sent us some pretty designer papers and cardstock and her theme was One Sheet Wonders (OSW). She gave us links to some great templates for 6" x 6" papers. I made five cards, but I'm only sharing four right now. The photo of one did not come out great so I need to redo it. 

The designer papers is Stampin Up - Fitting Florets. The cardstock is also from Stampin Up. Vikki Jo sent Blushing Bride. I pulled Hibiscus Burst and Sage Shadow from my stash which matched pretty well with the designer paper colors.

The Happy Birthday die I've had for some time and have never used. I already had the die cut out sitting on my table, so I decided to use it for one of the cards. "Think Peaceful Thoughts" comes from a Power Poppy stamp set called "Good Thinking."  The sentiment "Happiest Birthday Wishes" comes from a set that is not marked so I have no idea what company it comes from. I also couldn't find the other stamp "You Make Life So Much Fun" so I have no idea what company made it either. I was neglectful about writing them down as I was creating.

Garden Thanks - Creative Card Chicks

 Hello my friends. Happy Friday. I hope you all have a great weekend.

I'm finally getting back to doing some more card making and playing in my craft room. It's been a trying month and a half. I can't believe June is almost over.

I spent some time in my craft room last night working on this card. It's very plain, but I had a hard time coming up with something that didn't include stamping. I could have stamped a sentiment, but decided to use my thank you die instead. This card is for the Creative Card Chicks monthly challenge. Each month there is a hostess who either sends us a kit or gives us a theme or idea to use to make our card. Then we each post our card between the 21st and 23rd of the month. Yes, I am way late getting mine done. On the 20th I had a cortisone injection on the side of my left hand right where the thumb meets the wrist. Yes, OUCH! It was painful, but it has helped so I'm not complaining. 

This month our hostess was Sue and she sent us some designer paper and some corresponding card stock. We were to make a card using just the dsp she sent - no images and no stamping. The products are all from Stampin Up - Fresh as a Daisy designer paper; Garden Green, Wild Wheat, and Daffodil Delight card stock; brass butterflies. I used a strip from each color of the cardstock to make a pennant and then added a brass butterfly at the point. I don't recall where the Thank You die is from, but I used a bit of the Daffodil and then some white card stock and layered the words. I love flowers so I'm sure I'll use the rest of the dsp at some point to make more cards.
