Hello my friends. Yes! I am finally back. It has been forever since I've posted on my blog. I had hand surgery back in March and was in a brace for six weeks. Then I wasn't allowed to do any PT for two weeks. I started PT 7 weeks after my surgery. PT went until the end of July. Now I have another minor surgical procedure coming up on the 24th for my left thumb which has a trigger thumb. The top joint of my thumb does not bend anymore. My doctor says it can be fixed by a simple procedure to loosen the tendon. I sure hope so. I'm ready to be done with this. Luckily it should not require any PT after the surgery. He says it will be fixed right after the surgery is done. I'm counting on it. Mostly the rest of my hand is doing okay. I still have some tingling in that nerve that runs across the base of my thumb, but I can deal with that.
Glad to be back to crafting again. It has taken me awhile to catch up on all the Creative Card Chick challenges, but I'm finally there. This is my first one which is from May. It was sent by Sue (stampinspooky). She sent us the image and the designer paper and we were to create a card for Spring.

Designer Paper - Hand Penned (it's hard to see this because the image is so large and only a little around the edges shows.
Cardstock - SU Crushed Curry
I used my Copics to color the image and not sure when I took the sentiment from. I'll have to go look at my stamp sets. I thought it was perfect for the image.
Yes, I love that sentiment! Perfect for this image. You always colored so well. Beautiful card, Maggie.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteWell, hello! You've been on a very long road to recovery and I hope this and the upcoming thumb surgery does the trick. I've had a lot of hand, wrist, finger problems, but no surgery so far. You NEED your hands! That's a gorgeous Penny Black stamp and it is definitely blooming with grace and style on your card. Love your choices for coloring to coordinate with the paper. So lovely! It's good to see you today!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Maggie - love the colour of the flower, and the sentiment is perfect, you are right about that

Your card is beautiful, Maggie!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Maggie! Must be our year for surgery. I had shoulder replacement April First. I go to my surgeon for last appointment this month. I am glad to hear you are back to crafting. I hope this additional surgery is as minor as he says it will be. Hugs
