Flowers - IAS # 65

Hello my friends and happy Sunday! It's been two weeks since I became unemployed. It's still a little strange not to have to get up early and get off to work. Then, today I had to go to the Post Office to mail off a letter. I'm not used to doing that; I always posted things at the office. It's been good though. I have been getting a lot of things done around the house - organizing, trashing old papers that I don't need anymore. Years ago for my family history research I would print off copies of census records of family members, but now that I can access them online anytime, I don't need to keep an actual copy of it. More time also now for what I love - card making!

Today I have a card to share with you for the International Art & Soul challenge for this fortnight. This was my idea for a theme - flowers. I love flowers and love working with them. This Power Poppy image was perfect for it because it combined my two loves - flowers and butterflies.
Materials Used:
  • Image - Power Poppy, Pure Prairie Spirit
  • Sentiment - Same as image
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up, So Saffron
  • Designer Paper - Recollections - All Girl collection
  • Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black; Stampin Up So Saffron
  • Accessories - Stampin Up scallop oval punch
  • Copic Markers - E04, E07, E27, E33, E34; G21, G24; R20, R21; RV13, RV14, RV17; Y13, Y15, Y18; V20, V22; YR21, YR23, YR24, YR04.
I hope you will pop on over to the International Art & Soul challenge and check out what the rest of the design team has created.  While you're there, don't forget to link up your creation using flowers for the creation of your choice. You could be the winner or picked as one of the Top 3. Good luck. See you there!
