For now, here's my card for this week's challenge at Creative Knockouts. Our theme this week is to use Washi Tape on your card. To be honest I must say that I'm not much of a Washi Tape lover. I'd much rather use ribbons and lace, but I gave it a go. It didn't turn out too bad. The tape does give it a big pop of color.
Materials Used:
- Image - Sami Stamps - Birthday Surprise
- Sentiment - Stamping Up
- Cardstock - Xpress it Blending Card; Stampin Up Baja Breeze
- Ink - Stampin Up Marina Mist
- Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye - Hootenanny
- Accessories - Stampin Up - Marina Mist Ribbon; Petaloo Flowers; Crystal Effects; Stickles - Yellow; Washi Tape (various); SCS - SC402
- Copic Markers - B000, B00, B41, B52; E18, E29, E49; R20, R24; Y18, Y19, YR01, YR16, YR24
And the prize is a $12 GC from her store. She's got lots of great images over there. Check it out.
Don't forget to hop on over to the Creative Knockouts blog and check out what the rest of the Design Team has to inspire you and then get inky and come join us. You could be the winner of that Sami Stamps GC or picked as one of the Top 3. Good luck.

Love your bright and cheery background with the washi tape Maggie - it's colourful, but does not overwhelm the card.

Fun card - a kitty on a cake! I'm not a big washi tape user either but love the pop of color it adds to your card.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, this is so cute. Love the kitty on the cake image. And the pretty papers you used!
ReplyDeleteFun card Maggie! I like the way you used the washi tape on here. I have some but seldom, if ever, think about using it. Love that cute image too.
ReplyDeleteHope you didn't get any of that serious flooding there! We're just water-logged here - but guess that's better than it being so dry.

I'm not much of a Washi tape user, either. In fact, I've never used an inch of it. It's great for dressing up a card quick and cute if you don't have a truckload of designer paper to use up. You certainly did use a cute image for your card. The frosting on the cake looks positively delicious with the glaze you added. Love the kitty on top. So cute!
ReplyDeleteSweet image and a lovely card. Thanks for joining us at Crafting For all Seasons. Carol S, DT
