Lady Henrietta - CCC # 62

What a week!  Sadly, the day before Mother's Day, a very dear friend of mine lost her battle with colon cancer.  Such a terrible disease.  She was laid to rest on Friday with her 3 children and 6 grandchildren in attendance.  So very young.  I'm really going to miss her.  We used to meet at IHOP every so often on a Saturday morning and enjoy breakfast together and catch up on news.  I love eating breakfast out.  Anyway, hold those you love close to you.  Tell them every day that you love them.  A person can't hear that too often.

Moving on to the business at hand, time to share my card for this fortnight's challenge for Creative Card Crew.  The theme this time is Vintage/Shabby Chic. I did make a little boo boo.  Can you tell what it is???

Materials Used:
  • Image - Whiff of Joy - Lady Henrietta
  • Sentiment - Whimsey Stamps - Lovely Spring Slider 2
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up Garden Green
  • Designer Paper - Prima - Believe
  • Accessories - Lace and ribbon, my stash; Butterfly die - sent to me by Brandy, one of my blogging sisters; Flowers - Mark Richard, Fleuettes; Ribbon Girl, Michaels; circle punches; Nestabilities - Scallop rectangle die
  • Copic markers - Sorry, but I didn't write them down right away and don't remember which ones I used.
Our wonderful sponsors this week are Scrapping Center with a $15 gift voucher -
and Whiff of Joy with a prize of 4 digital images -
Now it's your turn.  Hop on over to the Creative Card Crew blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has for your inspiration and then try your hand at it.  I hope you'll come and play along with us. You could be one of the prize winners or picked as one of the Top 3.  Good luck!

  5. Hmmm... I actually looked up close for a long time and I can't see a boo boo. Whatever it is you did a good job disguising it. Super adorable card with pretty colors and flowers. I'm really sorry about your friend, Maggie.

  9. So sad for you. It is an awful thing. My dd brought my puppy along this week to the cancer center. When I said he was in the car waiting everyone wanted to see him, and the nurse said it was ok. He loved everyone except the only man in the room. Lol. It was funny.
Anyway, beautiful card. Did you drop an ink pad on the corner?
