August 2011 Monthly Challenge Card No. 1

This is from a card kit sent by Shell for the SCS Monthly Challenge for August.  She sent the image, pattern paper, sentiment, and flower.  It was my job to make it into a card. 
I used SU YoYo Yellow for the base and also the mat for the sentiment; SU Garden Galore to mate the image.  The image is a Clear Dollar stamp - Birthday Cake Swirls and the sentiment - It's a Party.  The pattern paper is from DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies.  The lace trim I found at Walmart and the flower is from Hobby Lobby.  I colored the cake with my Copic markers:  Y0000, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y18, G000, G12, G14, G40, RV00, RV02, R21, and BG0000.
I like the sparkles on the pattern paper.  This one has already found a home.

    I love the glitter on the patterned paper, and the lace trim gives it a pretty and delicate touch. Great job on this challenge, Maggie!

    What a sweet card! I just love the sparkles on the paper and the image is so cute! Great coloring!
