Taco Birthday - IAS #102

Good Sunday morning. I hope you are stng warm wherever you are. I think the only warm temps today are in the deep south in Florida. It sure isn't warm here in H Town. Temp here is 35 right down and expected to go down into the teens overnight. This is all due to an arctic blast sweeping down the middle of the country. I used to think this was a warm climate and it is ---- during the summer months. At least I'm lucky that I don't have to go out in this. It does keep me from seeing my family since we only gather outside still due to social distancing.

I was able to get my second shot of vaccine for the COVID-19 virus this past week and did not suffer from any ill side effects. If you are on the fence about getting the shot - JUST DO IT!!! There are so many things that can go wrong with long-term side effects if you contract the virus. Stay safe and help others to stay safe also.

Today I do have a card to share. This is for the International Art & Soul challenge for this fortnight. Our challenge this fortnight is Off to Dinner and has been chosen by DT member Hazel. I had a hard time trying to figure out what I was going to do for this one and then I found this cute stamp that has never seen ink before although I've had it in my stash for some time. Once I figured out the image and design, I could not think what kind of sentiment to put with it. I thought about what kids here like - Tacos! After a short search online I found this sentiment and thought it would be perfect and turned it into a birthday card.

Materials Used:

  • Image - Lili of the Valley - this is an old stamp I've had and they don't sell rubber stamps anymore. I don't see it in their Digi Shop either.
  • Sentiment - Computer generated
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Confetti White, Apricot Appeal; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye - Stella Rose collection
  • Copic Markers - B000, B00; E25, E27; E50, E51, E53; R20; W6; Y15, Y18; YR01, YR02

I hope you will all head on over to the International Art & Soul website and see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your inspiration and then join in the fun and show us your creations.

  3. I would love to get even my first shot. We're so behind the curve here. Gosh, you have colder weather than us. It's bad north of us, but here on the southern OR coast, it's just rainy. I adore your card! The sentiment is funny and the image is sooooo cute!
