With all the time off from work (back to work tomorrow), I had time to play with my stamping toys. This card was for the August Challenge Your Stash challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Our hostess was Darlene and she wanted us to create our own background and not use any designer paper. Yikes!
Bringing some light and sunshine I made this pretty card with a lovely bunch of Prairie Flowers.
Materials Used:
- Image - Power Poppy - Prairie Flowers
- Sentiment - Power Poppy - Prairie Flowers
- Cardstock - Stampin Up - Pink Pirouette; Papertrey Ink -
- Ink - Memento - Tuxedo Black
- Accessories - Nestabilities; SU scalloped punch; Cuttlebug flourish embossing folder.
- Copic Markers - (coming)
Wow! Beautiful! Love all the color in this bouquet. Also, the embossed borders in the background make a nice frame. The reality of the disaster down there makes it odd to think of people returning to work and things gradually returning to normal. My heart goes out to the folks who have suffered so much loss. I'm glad you're safe!
ReplyDeleteOh Maggie - the flooding there is beyond comprehension - and there is now more rain predicted, I heard today :-(. Your card is so pretty - love your embossed background
