Happy Birthday Candy Holder - OSAAT #256

Hello again my friends. I hope you are all doing well. Our weather has been gorgeous all week, but it's been a rough week for me. Got over the throat infection and then came down with allergies I guess, scratchy throat, runny nose, stuffiness. . .  I need to be over it by Monday morning. My sister is having a lumpectomy. They found it when she went to have her mammogram. Luckily, it's very small so after this surgery and a few weeks of radiation, she should be just fine. We'd appreciate your prayers.

Meantime I have a project to share with you for One Stitch at a Time. Our theme this fortnight is Anything Goes with 3-D. Not a card this time, but a bag, box, pop up, anything with 3 dimensions. Here is my project. You could use this as a party favor. It will hold little candies - kisses, m&m's, nuggets, or you could even use it as a gift box for a little trinket.

Tea Time for Teapot Tuesday

Hi my friends.  I hope you are all doing well. I know that I am feeling much better after 6 days of antibiotics. Our weather right now is very dry so that's doing a number on the throat and the skin. My skin hates dry, cold winter weather.

Heart and Rose - OSAAT #255

Hello again my friends. Wow!  Two cards in one week. I'm on a roll.  At least I am finally feeling much better. With the meds that I got from my primary the other day, my terrible, horrible sore throat is just about a distant memory, well, more like a nightmare!

I'm glad that I didn't have to get this card together at the last minute because I probably wouldn't have done it.  I've been such a slug this whole week, not really wanting to do anything.

We have a new challenge over at One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes With Love.  Ahhh! Valentine's Day on Sunday.

This was pretty easy. The image itself was so ornate that I didn't want to add any further embellishments to the card  Well, I wanted to but it just didn't need anything else added to it.

The front says Friendship is a wondrous thing.

And on the inside it finishes the poem with --  "There's so much happiness it can bring. I'm really glad that you're my friend And I hope our friendship will never end."

Snow Friends

Hi my friends.  It's been a down week here. I've been home ill with a terrible sore throat and finally went to see my doctor yesterday and got some meds for a throat infection although not Strep. Feeling better, but still not 100%. Hope the weekend makes a difference. It's hard to be productive when you're not feeling well.
