Shabby Valentine

Good morning my friends, and it really is morning.  I'm getting this posted before I go off to work. I have a few cards this week to show you. I had a very productive weekend including cleaning out the pantry. Ugh! Why do I buy some things since they just get trashed 6 months later when I don't use them?

On Splitcoaststampers (SCS) I belong to a group called Girls of the Baker's Dozen Monthly Challenge. So every month one of the members puts together a kit and sends it out to all the rest of the members. From the title, you may be able to figure out that this swap "year" there are 13 of us. I am usually always behind, but was able to get caught up finally.  My first card to share was from the January kit sent out by Roxie (morgainegeiser).  She sent us Valentine images and some shabby chic embellishments.

Except for the flowers, card base and mats, everything was sent in the kit.
Materials Used:

Designer Paper - Marthat Stewart (used a piece for the sentiment)
Accessories - Ribbon - Michael's; burlap bow - Recollections; Large Flower - Recollections; Sweetheart blossoms - Wild Orchid Crafts

    This is just too sweet! The little girl is adorable holding that heart key- and your coloring is awesome. Love the pretty embellishments as well.

    Maggie, this is just so sweet - I'm so behind in these kits, I'm surprised they havent' kicked me to the curb! Great use of the kit!

      If that was the case, Kel...I would be sitting right next to you on the curb!!! Hey, we could sit on the curb with our cups of "motivation" and work on our kits!!! LOL

    love this! i have such a hard time with vintage/shabby chic themes but you rocked it! and that bow is just amazing!! perfect addition to the card!!

    So adorable! I would always be behind, too, probably. It's a lot of kits to send out, but I guess your turn would only come up once a year -- not so bad, I guess. Sounds like fun!
