A Little Wicked Honey - CK #61

Happy Halloween Eve or as we always celebrated when I was a kid - "Mischief Night"!  What fun that used to be.  I don't know if kids still roam the streets causing Havoc anymore on Halloween Eve!  Oh wait!  They do that all year round nowadays don't they??  ;)  Sad, but true.  Back in the "good old days" it was all just in fun - soaping car windows, teepeeing people's houses, throwing candy corn on their porches, etc. We never did anything that was vandalism that would do damage to someone's property, just had some fun.  I also grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone else's business.  It was hard to get away with anything.

I wanted to present one last Halloween card for this year.  Over at Creative Knockouts I had a choice between a wedding image and Wicked Honey and chose to do Halloween again.  Our theme this week is Patchwork Pretties, so use patchwork design on your card.  Here's mine -

Materials Used:

  • Image - Sassy Studio Designs - Wicked Honey
  • Sentiment - Authentique - Beware Sticker; Bo Bunny - Oct 31 sticker
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up Basis Black and Wild Wasabi
  • Designer Paper - from my stash
  • Accesories - Halloween Cricut Cartridge; Recollections - blink flourish; ribbon from my stash; Nestabilities - Radiant Rectangles Die.
  • Copic Markers - E23, E27, E29; E50, E51, E53; N4, N6, N8; R20, R32, R46; YG11, YG21, YG23; YR01, YR02, YR21
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs.  There are some fabulous images in her store, so drop on by an check them out.
Don't forget to hop on over to the Creative Knockout Challenge blog and check out the rest of the Design Team creations.  I hope you'll play along with us this week.  The winner or one of the Top 3 could be you!

I will have a post later to announce the winner of my Birthday Blog Candy.   I will have one of my GF's at work draw a name from all the entries.  Looked to me like a lot of you were interested and I appreciate all the Happy Birthday wishes.  It was a Great week.

  7. My teen years were spent in a very small resort town where egging was the big Halloween event. Every kid in town was on the streets Halloween night. We egged each other and everything else in sight. It was done with no malice whatsoever and there was never any real trouble or damage. As an adult I'm sure I wouldn't want to do the clean up the next day, but it was somehow an expected and well tolerated tradition. Now, about your card... love her outfit! Wouldn't it be fun to have that hat? I love those papers you patchworked together, and it's so perfect that you put her behind the spooky fence. I'll be wearing a bat hair band at work tomorrow, having a pot luck and handing out lots of candy. Should be a fun day!
