Beach Bum Bob - CK #43

Hi my friends!  I hope you are all enjoying a fabulous week.  We've been having rain everyday, but lucky it's over by the time I leave the office to go home.

Later today I have to be at home to have a window repairman come.  Seems that the window in my back door got broken by a stone or something kicked up by the yard man's weedeater.  :(  He will be paying for the repair.  You would NOT believe how much they want just to replace the glass.  It costs more than buying a new door which I would have done except then it would cost me that much more to have it installed.

Now I have a card to share with you.  The theme is to create a masculine card and I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to do with this image.  I kind of had something in my mind for it and luckily I was able to pull some dp out of my stash and put it all together.  I think it's a little funky, but I really like it.

The image is from Dr. Digi and is called Beach Bum Bob which I printed on Xpress It Blending Card and then fussy cut it out.  The card base is Stampin Up Bordering Blue.  The dp, sentiment, and palm tree are all from my stash.  The surfboard is a sticker from the same collection as the dp.  It was really hard not to put some kind of ribbon on this, but I refrained.

Gone Fishing - OSAAT #218

-Hi everyone.  Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.  Things have settled down at the "cat house."  Casper has been doing fine and seems to be back to normal.  Corey has decided that he is his brother and doesn't hiss at him anymore.  Yeah!  I had to spend the day yesterday getting the house all cleaned up since the kids are coming over for dinner later today.

I did have time to get my card done for the One Stitch at a Time challenge for this week.  The image was chosen by my teammate, Shell.  I have a hard time with masculine cards, but I do like the way this one turned out.

Hi my friends and happy Tuesday!  Well, this morning Casper got sprung from his jail crate.  He finally had his last dose of antibiotics!  Thank goodness.  Not sure how much longer we could keep this up.  I must say he was really so good through it all, but he's much happier looking at the world from underneath my bed.  ;)  Now, I just hope that his tummy issues clear up soon and he's back to normal.

Bethany Picking Flowers - CK #41

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday!  Well, it's been quite a week.  I got Casper home on Monday with a brand new crate for him until next Tuesday.  By then he should be done his meds and ready to mingle with the rest of the furry kids.  I had to put a larger litter box in there.  He's a big boy and it takes up a little more of his room, but he just sleeps most of the time anyway.

So today was the big day. Corey had to get meds for his ear mites.  LOL!  I wasn't sure how I was going to do that because he goes ballistic whenever I try to pick him up or do anything to him.  I had another trick up my sleeve.  He follows me into the bathroom in the morning when I get up, so I took the tube of meds in with me.  He followed one of the other cats in their and when she left, I quick closed the door, got the tube of meds, pinned him to the floor with my left hand and squeezed the medicine into his ears.  Job done!  Now I just hope I"ll be able to pull that same trick on him next Wednesday.

Summer Hot - OSAAT #216

Good morning and Happy Sunday!  I hope you are all doing well.  I think I'm finally doing okay, but our Casper is still under the weather.  After having him at the Animal ER last Sunday night, I had him to our regular vet and they couldn't figure out what was wrong either until Wednesday and after doing more tests, diagnosed him with pancreatitis.  Poor little guy.  He looked so sad.  He is on meds but still at the vet until Monday so that they can medicate him.  I'm going to crate him when he comes home tomorrow so that hopefully I'll be able to get his meds in him and he'll get well and back to his normal playful self.

Hi my friends and Happy Tuesday!  I'm so glad to be back to my old self again after being sick for 6 days.  That was not fun.  Not sure what it was, but I hope it doesn't come back again.

So, it's time for another Creative Card Crew challenge.  This time our theme is Nautical.  I chose this fabulous, sort of sexy mermaid image to work with.  Maybe she looks like Arial after she grew up.  ;)  This is actually the second card that I did for this challenge.  The other one is very similar.  It was all done and then I checked out our DT folder and realized I had used the wrong image from our sponsor.  Since I had chosen Unchained Melody, I had to quick create a new card using that image.  Maybe someday I'll do a blog post using the other card. Both images were very similar.
