Nurse Ashley - CCC #56

Hi my friends.  Welcome back again to my blog.  Is it Spring yet????  I heard we were supposed to get one more cold snap here in H Town this week, but now I'm not so sure it will get that cold to freeze. I sure hope not.  I'm done with that.  Yesterday was my mom's birthday.  She would have been 98 years old.  I do miss her and my dad.  So many good happy memories.  I wish that she could have seen some of my work.  She was gone by the time I got started on my card making, but she was a budding artist.  I guess whatever talent I have I've come by it through her.

I saw this image on Imagine That and knew that I wanted to use it for my card.  I also saw this wonderful digital paper in the store and thought that I'd give it a try.  I've never actually used digital paper before, but this card needed the specialty paper.

Steampunk Profile - OSAAT #200

Hi my friends!  Welcome to another edition of One Stitch at a Time blog post.

First, thanks for all the advice for getting my hands back in shape.  I do use Eucerin on them but when they have a crack, I need more than that and will use some Bach's Rescue Cream on the crack and put a band aid over it. Usually it is much better in 1-2 days.  The Eucerin just soaks into my hands and I have to keep applying it over and over.  This cold Winter weather has really been hard on the skin.

We had lovely weather yesterday and today - starting to warm up.  I got out yesterday and cleaned up the patio and brought in all the Winter kitty bedding for a good washing.  I could totally live with this weather year round.

I was a little intimidated by this image with all those cogs and wheels in her hair, but once I figured out what to do with them, it all came together rather nicely I think.

Love Bear - CCC #55

Hi friends and welcome to Tuesday!  It's hard for me to type these days.  My hands are so  dry from the cold Winter weather and I get little cuts on the tips of my fingers.  Ouch!  I go around with band aids on my fingers.  People look at me a little strange wondering what happened.  ;)  Working with paper at the office doesn't help either - filing, opening and closing files - all that paper dust dries my hands out too.
