PSC11 - Forever Together

Wish I could say that I was finally better, but I've still got that lingering cough going on.  Didn't let it stop me though from getting my card ready for the Perfect Sentiments Challenge No. 11 for today.

Our sponsor this week is Shelly's Images.  Check out her store here:  http://www.shellysimages.com/

The prize this week is: $9 Gift Voucher equivalent to 3 digital images.
So, let's get to the challenge for this week.
Challenge: Create a card that reflects a sentiment for a marriage anniversary

Twist: use the following photo as inspiration for the design of your card.

I had the idea in my head for my card for awhile, but wasn't sure how it was going to translate into a card.  I was surprised that once I started working on it, it really did just all come together.  Only thing was that I forgot that I needed to use the picture as my inspiration.  Well, I was really inspired because even without the photo in my head, the card came out just the way I wanted it to and covered all the bases for the photo.
My card is a gate fold, which I think is hard because there really isn't any way to keep it closed unless you put some kind of tie around it and mine just didn't lend itself to that.  First is a photo of the front of the card.
I relate the gate fold to the curtains in the photo.  The rest is all color.  The base is PTI White c/s.  I used a layer of silver metallic and embossed it using the SU Tulip frame embossing folder.  Then I cut that in half and adhered 1/2 of it to each side of the gate.  I love how that looks.  The image is stamped in Versamark with a stamp from Inkadinkado - Man and Woman which I emobssed with black embossing powder.  I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4 to cut it out and then matted it on a piece of SU Bashful Blue also cut with the same Label 4 die cut - one size up.  The bow is from Martha Stewart - Silver Bow Stickers.  Just adds the right touch to it.

But that isn't all.  It needed a sentiment and some bling!  So here's the inside.

The sentiment is from Hampton Art Stamps - Love Words which I also stamped with Versamark and embossed with the black embossing powder on SU Bashful Blue and layered that on the inside of the base card.  It needed just a little more something so I used a Martha Stewart Gemstone Mini Flower sticker up in the right-hand corner.  I just love bling.
I really love the way it all turned out.  This is going to a very special couple who is celebrating their 20th Wedding Anniversary in January.
