Good morning and Ooops!  Sorry my blog post is late.  It's been a crazy week.  I hope you all enjoyed the Memorial Day holiday.  It was nice having a quiet day.  Then on Tuesday after going back to work I started getting a scratchy throat and then a sore throat and cough, so I've been home from work the last 2 days.  Truly, I was thinking that today was Wednesday.  I guess because of the late start to the week.  So here's my card for Creative Knockouts.

Hi friends.  Happy Sunday.  I've been having a great weekend.  Friday I drove from Houston up to Dallas to attend 2 Copic classes yesterday.  The morning class was 5 hours of Whimsical Hair and Faces.  What fun to sit and color and learn more techniques.  The afternoon was airbrushing which has been so intimidating for me. Since I own a compressor, I figured it was time that I really got used to using one and start playing with it.  It was fun to meet new people who also have a love of Copic Markers.

So on to the business at hand.  Here is my card for this week for One Stitch At A Time challenge.

Lady Henrietta - CCC # 62

What a week!  Sadly, the day before Mother's Day, a very dear friend of mine lost her battle with colon cancer.  Such a terrible disease.  She was laid to rest on Friday with her 3 children and 6 grandchildren in attendance.  So very young.  I'm really going to miss her.  We used to meet at IHOP every so often on a Saturday morning and enjoy breakfast together and catch up on news.  I love eating breakfast out.  Anyway, hold those you love close to you.  Tell them every day that you love them.  A person can't hear that too often.

Happy Mother's Day to all my lady friends whether you be a mother of your own children or a sometimes mother figure to nieces, nephews, children of friends, school children, or whatever.  I hope you have a wonderful day.  Last weekend I spent time with my daughter and her family that live in California.  Today I'll be spending some time and having dinner with my daughter that lives here in Texas.  Can't wait to see what my son-in-law is going to cook for us.  He really is a pretty terrific cook.  My own mother passed away a number of years ago and I miss her very much.  Your mom isn't always going to be there, so be nice to her.  ;)

Today I have a card to share for One Stitch at at Time.  Every so often I create a card that takes on a life of its own and just really comes together so well, I hardly have to do anything.  This is one of those cards.  I just love it. 

 As you can see, I used my favorite color - purple.  Here's a closer look at the image.

The base designer paper has a silver metallic image on it which I just love and I used the Silver Metalic ink pad to add some color to the doily so it wouldn't be stark white against the silver background.  I use a light (unmarked) bottle of Stickles for her wings and then used the Lavendar Stickles to add some sparkle to her dress.

Happy Tuesday my friends.  I've had a nice, relaxing long weekend.  Well, relaxing except for flying to California on Friday morning and then back again Sunday night.  Yep, quick trip, but I had to go and see my granddaughter in her High School musical - Seussical!  She was great and I got to see it twice.  But it's back to work today.  Was nice to have off yesterday to get some things done before back to the rat race.
