Watering Can with Love

Happy Thursday my friends!  I am on a roll here with getting all these cards posted.  I sure have been a busy girl. Can't believe it with everything that has been going on this week.  And to top it all off, I am having Christmas dinner at my house on Saturday with my daughter and her family. Oh, yes! We did Christmas dinner at her house on Christmas day, but I poor son-in-law was recovering from having hernia surgery and he was only allowed clear broth/liquids so he didn't get to enjoy any of the yummy food we had, so we are having the dinner all over again, only at my house this time. I did tell them that there would be NO tree and NO gifts!  HAHAHA!

Today's card is for the Freebie/Progressive Challenge over at The Outlawz. If you sign up, every month they will send you a free digital image to use that month to make your project. If for some reason you don't get your project done and uploaded to the challenge, the following month you have to buy the image from the sponsor's store to get back in the game. For some reason I always seem to be posting my card at the last of the month. I kept it pretty simple, but I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Roxy's Wedding

Last Friday night I went to the wedding of the daughter of a friend from work. That's where I had the car accident. Finally got my car back yesterday. A long story there.  Won't bore you with the details. It's back and working fine.

Anyway, my coworker always wants to see my cards that I make and I knew that I had to make one for her daughter and not go buy one at the store. This is the card that I came up with.

And this is the envelope I fixed to go with it.

• Cardstock - The card base and envelope are from a package I got at Michael's. The base is white and trimmed in the silver. I love silver and white together.
• Accessories - Stampin Up Silver Embossing Powder; Stampin Up fancy label punch; Large pearls from Michael's; Teresa Collins - small pearls on butterflies; butterflies were punched by a friend (she sent me a whole little box full of different sizes and colors. I was lucky that these 2 happened to be in there); Wild Orchid Crafts - flowers; Recollections - Sparkle trim and pearl flourish; Cricut - Paper Lace, Flowers 4 (layered on top of base); Recollections - car sticker on envelope.

Calum Birthday - OSAAT #231

Hi my friends.  It's Sunday again and will be a quiet one for me after our church meeting this morning. It's been quite a weekend. Won't bore you with the details of running my car into a ditch Friday night on the way to the wedding of the daughter of one of my work friends.  Ooops!  Not funny really, I wasn't hurt but looks like the car was (underneath) the outside still looks great.

Last night went out with my daughter and her family (son-in-law and 2 grands) to see Cirque de Soleil - Amaluna!  If it comes anywhere near where you live, GO SEE IT!  It was FABULOUS! I couldn't believe some of the things they did. Out to dinner after the show, so really a nice evening.

Happy Bird Day - CK #77

Happy Thursday my friends!  And it really is. It's almost to the end of the week.  I have my last PT appointment today, although I'd sure like to still go. I have to commit to doing my exercises every day, walk 30 minutes at least 3 times a week, and get back into a routine of doing a workout.  Yikes! That's a lot.

GOOD NEWS! Finally after 7 weeks of having a sore throat every day, I woke up on Saturday morning and it was ALL GONE! I went to a throat specialist last week and she took pictures of my throat. It was still all red and irritated and the tonsil base tissue was all swollen. I don't have any tonsils, but if I still had them, I would have had tonsillitis. So I got a prescription for another antibiotic, this time the right kind for what was wrong with me. So good to be all well again. Thank you for any of you who said a prayer and had get well thoughts for me.  I do appreciate it.

Flowers For You Girl - CK #75

Hi my friends.  Happy Thursday! One day closer to Friday.  We all love Fridays. Wish I had some good news about my throat, but I am still having issues with it and have an appointment on Wednesday to see a throat specialist. If she can't figure it out, not sure who can. My ENT thinks I might have Reflux although I'm not bothered by indigestion or heartburn, but having a chronic sore throat is one of the symptoms. So now I'm taking Prilosec to see if that helps.  So far, no.  I also changed my allergy medicine yesterday to see if that might be an issue. You know sometimes when you take a medicine for a long time, your body gets used to it and it stops being effective.  So we shall see.  Meantime I muddle through with 3-4 hours of sleep. It's amazing that I can get any work done at my office.

So this week at Creative Knockouts our Theme is Hearts A Flutter.  We are getting close to Valentine's Day, so let's see lots of hearts on those cards.  I went with mostly flowers. Aren't they the go to gift for Valentine's Day along with chocolates!
