Cats in the Christmas Tree

Okay, so here is my last Christmas card post for January. They are supposed to send out emails to let us know that the next theme is going to be. I hope with my school work I'll be able to find some time to play along some more.

BTW, school is going pretty well. We are doing Math this semester. Have I ever told you how much I hate word problems!!!!! I guess with enough practice, I'll figure it all out eventually.
I finally found the digi stamp that I used.  It's from Mo Manning called Cats in the Christmas Tree.  The paper I'm sure is from Stampin Up, but I don't recall the collection. My "C" word for this card is "Cat." The ribbon is from my stash as well as the star chipboard. The sentiment is from Stampin Up - Happy Scenes and the mat and card stock is Stampin Up Mellow Moss.  That's 3 done for January. Not too bad.

A Christmas Wish

Here I am back again so soon.  I have two cards that I want to get posted in the SCS Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge and they need to be posted by January 31, so I needed to get on here and get them uploaded.  The challenge this month is to use the letter "C." For this one, I used my Copic markers to color the image of the snowman. The card base and mat are Stampin Up Daffodil Delight. The seam binding ribbon and bling are from my stash. The sentiment is from Stampin Up Joyful Season stamp collection.
I do need to work on my photography. The color on this is a little off. It gets either too light or too dark. That's all I have for this post. I wish I had jotted down the markers that I used.  Duh!

A Cowboy Christmas - Christmas Card Challenge

Well, here I am again! I've now got a backlog of cards that I've made that I haven't posted so I'm going to post this one tonight and then I'll post a couple tomorrow night and then a couple more on Tuesday. I'll be working on school work starting tomorrow so no time to do more crafting until the end of the week.

I have a stack of images for Christmas sitting on my table. These are the second image that I printed off. Whenever I print an image, I usually will print two just in case something happens to the first one which means I get a lot of unused seconds. I decided to keep the Christmas ones on my desk so that I'll have them handy. I'm going to try to do the Christmas Card Challenge this year so I can have enough cards made by the time Christmas rolls around again. This one is for January and the theme is "use the letter C." I have three ready to post. The thing is, I colored these while I was recuperating from Shingles and I didn't  keep track of the colors I was using or where I got the image.
The cardstock is Stampin Up Real Red and Soft Suede. Not sure about the dp. I used my Copic markers to color the image which was cut using the Nestabilities circle die and the scallop circle die. The sentiment is from a retired SU stamp set and cut out with the 1 1/4" punch layered onto a circle of Soft Suede cut with a 1 1/2" punch. It was kind of tricky to get the stripe of Real Red lined up on the diagonal like it is, but I finally figured it out.

Hope you are having a great weekend. So sorry to see if come to a close and back to work tomorrow.

Celebrate - Challenge Your Stash

Hi my friends. Hopefully I'm back on track and will be getting my blog posts done on time.Today I have a card for the Challenge Your Stash challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. Our hostess this month is Jeanette. The theme we were given was to use three different designer papers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections and I used Martha Stewart's Fir Leaf Punch.  The bling is from Recollections on a Nestabilities Scalloped circle punch. Chloe Good Luck -IAS #25

Here I am back again today. It's been so rainy and dreary out. I'm so glad that I was able to do all my grocery shopping online and have them deliver it to my house! This is something that is so worth the money. Today I shopped at three different stores.

This is another late card. It was supposed to be posted on my blog last Sunday, but with the computer issues, it didn't get done.  It's a little early for St. Paddy's Day, but I have a GF at work who is Irish and has a birthday in February. I think I'm going to give this card to her.

Happy birthday - Creative Card Chicks

Hi my friends. Happy Saturday. I'm only a week late with getting this card posted, but I was without my main laptop for most of the week. Last Friday the screen went out and after five days with the Geek Squad, they determined that they could not repair it beyond sending it back to the manufacturer for repair which would have cost a lot of $$. Was advised to not do that since the computer was old and was on the road to lots of other problems, so I opted to purchase a new one. With some help from one of the IT guys at work I was able to backup the old laptop to my external hard drive. I'm in the process of getting what I need uploaded to the new laptop. I must say, it is rather pretty.

So, last  Sunday was the first day to post our January cards for Creative Card Chicks. I was frustrated because I had mine done way in advance this month and then I couldn't get it posted. So finally, here it is.
Our hostess this month was Barb and she sent us this fun birthday kit.

Copic Markers: B0000, B01, B02; G00, G000; R20, R12, R22, R46; Y21, Y23

That's it for now. I've got some catching up to do, so I'll be back in a bit with another late card.

Thank You - IAS #24

Happy Sunday, my friends.

I am happy today since the weather has warmed up a little bit. At least it's not 26 anymore and hopefully won't be any more this Winter. It's been a rather cold week here in H Town. All the kitties outside are doing just fine. I have 2 dog houses in the backyard, and I put some unused flannel sheets folded up in each of them. The kitties love to lay in there now.

School starts up again this coming week. We are doing Math this semester and since that is my forte, I look forward to getting through this one without too much trouble. I have been able to sneak in some crafting time this week so I'm back in my happy place.

One of the things I created was this White On White card for International Art & Soul challenge. I have a few Thank You notes to write and thought this would be a good design. It's simple and slips right into an envelope.

No coloring on this one. I used a dot embossing folder on the front of the card, then I used an edge punch on the long edge of a strip of cardstock 2 1/2" wide. The trees are dies from Heartfelt Creations and the Thank You die was in my stash. I don't have listed where I got it from. The bit of bling also came from my stash.

I can't wait to see how you all handle this challenge and what you will create. You could be the winner this time or one of the Top 3. Hope you'll come join us.
