Woodland Deer - Creative Card Chicks

Good morning friends.  I hope you're having a great weekend. We were predicted to get rain yesterday, but it didn't come around my house. We did get a cooling off overnight though from the cold front coming down from the North. Time to get the yard man over to get flowers planted and get ready for the butterflies. My sis and niece have already been releasing some. I'm getting a late start.

Today it's time to post my card from the Creative Card Chicks group over at Splitcoast Stamperes. This month it was Kelly's (Miamikel4) turn to send us a kit. These ladies really do challenge me every month and I love to see all the cards that they create from the same kit. It's inspiring.  Here is my take on the challenge.
Kelly sent us the images from the Stampenous set In the Woods. I didn't clutter up the front with a sentiment. I'll put that on the inside. The designer paper is from My Paper Studio "Woodland Retreat" collection. We were challenged to use the deer and the tree trunk on our card. Of course, you know how I love flowers, so decided to ground the tree with a garden of flowers. These were all in an SU stamp set that I cut apart and planted around the tree. The deer is standing on a little piece of ground made from a piece of burlap ribbon. I used my Copic markers to color in the deer, tree and flowers. That's it for today. Easy peasy. See you next time.

Mushroom Fairy - IAS #6

Hi my friends. I can't believe that it's Easter already, the middle of April. Where does the time  go? I hope you are getting to enjoy your weekend. We had a holiday on Friday from work so it's been nice to have the 3 days off. It's been busy around here though. I am having some small jobs done around my house, not by me, but this great handyman and his helper. It's so great to find someone who knows how to do so many different things so that I don't have to hire 6 different people to do all my jobs.  I'll be going to my sister's tomorrow to celebrate Easter with all my family. I hear that the Easter Bunny will also be making a trip. If he does, I'll be sure to post a photo of him.

Today is also time for another challenge from International Art & Soul. Our theme this time is Things with Wings.
I used a stamp I got from Lili of the Valley a very long time ago. I'm not sure what her real name is, but I call her Mushroom Fairy. Sorry that I didn't write down all the ingredients that I used. The cardstock is from Stampin Up - Pink Pirouette; the flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts, the die from Spellbinders; lace from my stash. I also used some Stikles on her wings and headband. The sentiment is a retired SU stamp.

I used Copic markers for the coloring: E00, E02, E04; E30, E31, E33; E84; R0000, R81, R83; RV0000, RV00; RV02; V0000, V01, V04, V12; Y17, YG03, YG05

Well, that's about it. I hope you'll come join in the fun and play with us. Of course, since this is JFF, we don't have a sponsor, but you could earn a lovely badge for your blog is your card is chosen as the winner or one of the Top 3. See you next time.

Challenge Your Stash March - So Sorry

Hi again. I've got another post for today that I'm late with. This was supposed to be posted back on March 28 for the Challenge Your Stash group on SCS. This challenge was given to us by Shelly aka mcschmidty. We were to make a sympathy card, with some green and 3 of something. March seemed to be a month full of sympathy cards and this has already been sent to a dear friend on the unexpected passing of her daughter from a viral infection which attacked her heart and she was gone. I hope this and the other experiences of my friends prompt us to keep our loved ones close and always remember to let them know of your love for them.

Materials used:
  • Image - Stampin Up - Corner Garden (I love this stamp)
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - So Sorry
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Garden Green
  • Accessories - Enamel Dots; Nuo Dots
  • Copic Markers - B000, B12, B14; G12, G24, G43; G46; BV000, BV01, BV13; E37; R32, R43, R46; R81, R83, R85; Y15, Y18, Y19; YR61, YR65, YR68
That's it. I'll see you again soon.

CCC March 2017 Birds & Friends

Hi friends and Happy Sunday. I hope that the weather where you are is not too bad. We are supposed to get storms this afternoon, so I wanted to get a couple cards posted before the weather turned bad. I'm a little late for this one for March. I was supposed to post it back on March 21. What can I say, I'm a procrastinator. It's for the monthly challenge for the Creative Card Chicks and the kit was sent to us by Sue aka stampinspooky. I'm really not that great with CAS cards and this was no different. I know that it needs something else, but I couldn't figure out what else to do with it. Everything I used is from the kit except for the base card.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Stampin Up - Language of Friendship.
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - Oval All
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up Naturals White and Marina Mist
  • Ink - Stampin Up - Marina Mist
  • Designer Paper - K & Company
  • Ribbon - Stampin Up
Accessories - Round Circle Punch and Circle Scallop Punch. Stampin UP oval punch and oval scallop punch.

She also sent a second kit, but I haven't had a chance to work on that one yet. A future project.  Happy Day!

Somebunny Loves You - Creatalicious #112

Hello again my friends. I hope you are off to a good start with your weekend. I am. I did the grocery shopping and one errand on the way home from work last night. Today, just one errand and then the whole weekend is MINE! We're supposed to get some serious storms on Sunday, so I'm glad that I get to stay inside. My church has a special conference which happens twice a year and lucky for me and a lot of people it's on TV and the Internet so no need to go to our Meetinghouse to attend. I could even be in my jammies. LOL!

Getting to the business at hand, today's them is Anything Goes with the Optional Add Flowers. I LOVE flowers. If I can I use them on every card and it just so happens that our sponsor is where I get the majority of my flowers from - Wild Orchid Crafts. I love them. And they do have a few other embellishments besides their flowers. Flowers, for me, really dress up a card. It just so happens too that my image for this card is part of a prize I won for one of my other cards from Pink & Main. So cute.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Pink & Main - Somebunny
  • Sentiment - Pink & Main - Somebunny
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up - Early Espresso and
  • Designer Paper - Bo Bunny - Rose Cafe Collection
  • Accessories - Flowers - WOC; Lace from my stash; Fern Die - Memory Box Dangling Stems
  • Copic Markers - E23, E25, E27; E30, E31, E35; E50, E51, E53; E93, E95, E97; R32, R35, R37; G20, G21, G24; Y06, Y13, Y19.
That's about it. I hope you'll pop on over to Creatalicious and play along with us this time. I'm sure you have some flowers laying around your craft room just waiting to be added on to one of your cards. You could be picked as one of the Top 3 or you might be the winner of this prize.
