Starry Night

Hi my friends.  I hope all are doing well this weekend with weather conditions. We've been going through our 2nd cold snap of the Winter, but it's gradually going to start warming up again into the mid 70's this week. It's been a crazy Winter.  We get 3 day cold spells in between our Spring weather.

I thought that I would get a jump start on my Christmas cards for 2017 so that I don't get down to November and have a crunch time like I did last year trying to get them all done. The card I'm showcasing today I made for a group I"m in on SCS called Challenge Your Stash. There is a challenge posted every month and we are to make our card using our own supplies from our stash and NOT go out and buy anything for it. This month of January it was a color challenge from Barb to only use White, Black, and Silver. At first all I could think of was wedding cards but then I remembered this SU stamp set and I knew it was what I wanted to use.

The picture doesn't really do it justice with the silver embossing. Looks so much better IRL.

Materials Used all from my stash:
  • Image - Stampin Up - The Newborn King stamp set
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up - The Newborn King stamp set
  • Cardstock - SU Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Metallic
  • Accessories - Versamark stamp pad; SU Silver embossing powder; silver metallic ribbon; Spellbinders Nestabilities scallop dies
Pretty simple today and no copic markers were used in this project. :)

I am submitting this card for the following challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas - Anything Goes (twist no sentiment)
Hiding in my Craft Room - Any Holiday
The Outlawz Paper a la Mode - Anything Goes
Scrappers' Delights - Anything Goes
artbymiran Challenge - Anything Goes

Colour Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes

  10. I love shopping my stash. I've been very good about not buying anything in the month of January. It's been a long month! Funny how often I buy on impulse. Anyway, I saw this card and immediately loved the stamp. Clicked for a close up, loved it more. Nice to have one that works out so well without coloring. Your card is beautiful! You'll be so glad you started Christmas cards early. I keep telling myself that. Good luck!
