Exotic Enchantment - CK #65

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope you are all enjoying yourselves on this lovely day. I have so much to be grateful for, but most importantly for my very life and His abundant Grace. I will be gathering with my sister and our family members later today, but we will be missing one of the family. My sister's husband passed through to the other side of the veil early Monday morning.  He had been sick in the hospital for only a week and we thought that he was improving, but then took a turn for the worse and they had to put him on continuous dialysis knowing that he might not make it. Then I got that dreaded phone call at 12:20 am. Monday telling me that he was gone. We will have the viewing on Friday evening and the service/burial on Saturday, but meantime we are celebrating all that we are thankful for and for all the years that Frank was part of the family. He was a very kind, decent, generous man who went around quietly doing good for others.  He will be missed by many.

Sorry, I don't want to get all sad and mopey, because that's not what any life is about. We celebrate life whether here or in the hereafter. That's exactly how Frank would have wanted it. So on to my card for this week's Creative Knockouts challenge. Our theme is All That Glitters, so don't forget to add some sparkley stuff to your card this week.

  13. I'm so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. It's a very sad time for your family when you lose someone you love. Your sister must be having a hard time. The holidays make it that much more difficult. You're right, though, his life should be celebrated and I'm sure he wouldn't want to leave you with such sadness. The sweet angel on your card seems appropriate at a time like this. It's very lovely.
