Inspector Em - CCC #70

Happy Tuesday my friendsI hope you're having a great day. Yesterday was a crazy day at work.  We've used WordPerfect at my job for as long as I can remember, but now are switching over to Word.  I mostly have an anxiety attack every day because I have to know something in Word right then that I haven't learned how to do yet.  :(  I've been doing pretty well on my own learning new things using Word, but a Table of Contents is pretty intense and complicated. Each day is a new one and each day gets me closer to being more adept at using Word.

It's much more fun to be making cards and doing some creating in my stamp room.  Today is the day for Creative Card Crew's latest challenge. The theme for this challenge is Steampunk/Urban. I'm still learning about Steampunk, but it's a fun process.

Here is my steampunk/urban card.
Materials Used:
  • Image - Kenny K - Inspector Em
  • Sentiment - Tim Holtz - Word Bands
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up More Mustard
  • Designer Paper - Urban scene found on my computer.
  • Accessories - Tim Holtz Sprockets; Twine; Cycle image found on my computer
  • Copic Markers - E31, E33, E35; E50, E51, E53; E47; G43; N0, N2, N4, N6; R46; YR12, YR23, YR24, YR31
Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are:
Prize: Surprise! Dies and/or Acrylic Stamps

I hope that if you haven't tried Steampunk yet, then you'll take a chance and come out of your comfort zone and give it a go.  It'll be fun.  Don't forget to hop on over to the Creative Card Crew Challenge blog and check out what the rest of the design team has come up with.

  3. Yes, stamping challenges are much more fun than work challenges! I can't believe you found such a perfect scene for your card! Your coloring really combines well with it, too. Very cool!

  10. Hi Margaret. was able to pop over using your link at Maxine D's, and pay a visit this evening. Your card is a darling use of the grunge look. Smiled at reading your anxiety at switching from WP to Word. I remember that feeling extremely well. Don't get too stressed. All the things you're accustomed to do are still there, just a bit different. Give yourself time and breathe easy, because YOU WILL get it. But I do understand your feeling extremely well. Been there, done that, survived it. You will too! TFS & Hugs.
