Nurse Ashley - CCC #56

Hi my friends.  Welcome back again to my blog.  Is it Spring yet????  I heard we were supposed to get one more cold snap here in H Town this week, but now I'm not so sure it will get that cold to freeze. I sure hope not.  I'm done with that.  Yesterday was my mom's birthday.  She would have been 98 years old.  I do miss her and my dad.  So many good happy memories.  I wish that she could have seen some of my work.  She was gone by the time I got started on my card making, but she was a budding artist.  I guess whatever talent I have I've come by it through her.

I do have a card to share for Creative Card Crew.  Our theme this time is Get Well.  We have two wonderful sponsors this time.
$15 Voucher

 3 Free Digis

I saw this image on Imagine That and knew that I wanted to use it for my card.  I also saw this wonderful digital paper in the store and thought that I'd give it a try.  I've never actually used digital paper before, but this card needed the specialty paper.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Imagine That - Nurse Ashley
  • Sentiment - Imagine That - Speedy Recovery
  • Cardstock - Stampin Up - Wild Wasabi; Xpress It Blending Card
  • Designer Paper - Imagine That digital pack
  • Accessories - Lace - We R Memory Keepers - Down the Boardwalk; Flower - Basic Gray - Hello Luscious collection; Spica Gel Pen - Silver
  • Copic Markers - B0000; C0, C2; E00, E11, E21; E30, E31; G12, G40, G43; R00, R01, R12, R30, R46; Y11, Y15, Y21
I hope you'll hop on over to the Creative Card Crew challenge blog and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspirations and then get inky and put a card together for the challenge.  I think we all probably know someone who could use an uplifting card.

I am submitting this card for the following challenges:

  7. That is wonderful!! You're right, you "needed" that digi paper to go with the nurse. I've never used digi paper.

  12. SO perfect for a get well card, and, oh, my WOW, the paper is fabulous! It was an absolute MUST for the image! I don't use digi paper, either (just being frugal with the ink), but I would have had to print this, too. Super cute, Maggie!!
