SBS - Summerween Swap Reveal and Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to my Blog and the Simply Betty Stamps Summerween Swap Reveal and Blog Hop!

Awhile back we did the Swap and have been waiting all this time for everyone to have their package and get their blog posts done so we can do the reveal and hop around and see all the fabulous goodies that every received.  It sure was fun putting together my box that went to Tanja Charles and then to see all the fabulous goodies that she sent to me.  Today is finally the day.  First of all I'll show you the cute card/treat box that I made for her.
Isn't this so cute.  I love the box idea and it was bit enough to fit 5 Hershey Kisses inside.  One of my girlfriends liked it so much, she came to my house one day to make one just like it and now wants to make a bunch for her Sunday School kids at church for Halloween.  She did buy the image for herself so that she could use it.  We didn't mess with any Angel Policies.  ;)

Materials Used:
  • Image - Simply Betty Stamps - Summerween
  • Sentiment - Graphic 45 - Steampunk Spells Chipboard
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
  • Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye - Blackbird Collection
  • Accessories - Martha Stewart - Rustic Fence Punch; Grass Die cut; Cricut - Happy Hauntings Cartridge; Embellishments from my stash; Stickles
  • Copic Markers - C8; E50, E51, E53; E71, E74, E77, E79; V000, V01, V15; YG00, YG11, YG23, YG45; YR02, YR07, YR16
Now for the goodies.  Here's a picture of everything together --
.

I'll break it down. From left to right - Darice Embossing Borders; Crystal Stickers White Squares; Bazzill orange glitter buttons, Black/White Halloween embellishments (skulls & spiders); Martha Stewart paper rolls
Next up -- Ribbons!  Who doesn't love ribbon?  Not me!  I love ribbon and buy some every chance I get.  :)  This is orange, lime green, white with skull & crossbones, and black with orange pumpkins and also some orange and purple Baker's Twine.

Next - My and My Big Ideas Halloween paper collection 12 x 12 pad and a small pad of Smash papers.  I can't wait to get started on my Smash book one of these days.

Almost there.  Next - some rub ons, borders and some sentiment stickers -
And last, but not least some cute Halloween stamps plus some Dimensional stickers - birds in cages.
That's it!  Thanks again so much Tanja Charles for all the fun goodies to play with.  Now I wish it was Halloween every month.  I can see that I'll have to be busy for next year.  I'll get a head start.

Now on to the hop.

Budinsky Bunny PSC91

Hi and Happy Wednesday.  This last week has not been the best.  Being plagued with some allergy issues, but hoping that it'll clear up soon.

Even with all that, I was able to work on my card for the latest Perfect Sentiment Challenge.  As much as I love putting a card together with lots of flowers and other embellishments, sometimes it's nice to just do the Clean And Simple (CAS) card.  This one really went together pretty easily.  The theme this week was to create a card with the sentiment of Thank You and to use ribbon, seam binding or twine on your card.

Materials Used:
  • Image - Stitchy Bear (Kassel Digi Stamps) - Budinsky Bear
  • Sentiment - Stampin Up -
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up - Night of Navy
  • Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found - Breeze Collection
  • Accessories - Stampin Up 7/8" scallop punch; Banner die
  • Sketch layout - Freshly Made #95
  • Copic Markers -  B0000; B91, B95, B97, B99; E0000, E21, E23, E25, E27; E30, E31; G12, G43; R00, R01; Y15, Y17
Here is the sketch I used:
Our fabulous sponsor this week is Stichy Bear Designs.

They will be awarding 3 free digital images to one lucky random winner.

Now time for you to get you stamps and stuff out and get all inky.  Come play along.  Don't forget to hop over to the Perfect Sentiment Challenge and check out what the DT has created for your inspiration.  You can also find links to their blogs on the left side of my blog. You might be chosen as one of the Perfect 3.

Bringing in the Tree - PSC90

Hi my friends. Looks like it has come to be Wednesday again!  It was so nice to have that 3-day weekend and it really makes it hard to go back to work.  Lucky it's a 4-day week so won't be much longer.  I am still trying to play catch up getting Christmas cards done, so when this week's challenge was an Anything Goes with Ribbon, Twine, or Seam Binding, I knew that it would be another Christmas card for me. Besides, I thought this was such a cute image.

Materials Used:
  • Robyn's Fetish - Bringing in the Tree
  • Sentiment - Lili of the Valley - Christmas Tags
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler and Confetti Cream (may be retired)
  • Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye - Found Christmas collection and Christmas collection
  • Accessories - mini glitter Christmas tree brads; decorative scallop scissors; Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine; Memory Box Die - Frosty Border; Liquid Pearls - Pearl; glue and fine white glitter
  • Copic markers - B0000; C1, C3, C5; E31, E33, E35; R24, R37, R39; YG11, YG63, YG67, YG97; and 0 (Blender)
I wanted to give a close up of the sparkle tree brads up in the left corner.

I used the Freshly Made Sketch #19 as the layout for my card.  I just turned it on it's side.

This week our fabulous sponsor is Robyn's Fetish.  Pop on over there and check it out!

She will be awarding one lucky winner 5 free digis from her store.

Now, we turn the time over to YOU!  Time to get inky and pull out all those fun stamps and papers and create something for the challenge.  Just remember to put the sentiment on the front of your card.  If you need some inspiration, hop on over to the Perfect Sentiment Challenge blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created for you. Washi Tape Challenge

Hi friends.  I hope you've been having a Happy Labor Day and not having to "labor."  At least I didn't have to labor at the office.  :)  I have a late card to share with you.  I belong to a blog group on Splitcoast Stampers called Stamp Addicts!  Back in July we had a challenge to use Washi tape on a card.  I hadn't used it before but I did have a few rolls of it.  Then I bought some more from Stampin Up and added to my stash.  I was able to combine this challenge with another challenge group that I belong too - Monthly Challenge Card.  There's a group of us that do a shoebox swap each month by one person sending to the others.  Then we all make at least one card and post it for the others to see.
This was pretty easy.  I used a flower embossing folder, added the Washi tape and a sentiment which I popped up on dimensionals and then added a flower butterfly that I received in the July monthly challenge envelope.  The Stamp Addicts have also been swapping cards with each other each month so I sent this card to my partner Darlene.

I'll be sharing my August swap card in my next blog post.  Stay tuned.
I'm submitting this card for the following challenges:

Lady Anne's Challenges - Wings
