Steampunk Rio

Happy Friday!!!!!!  I'm so ready for this week to be over and have a nice beautiful sunny weekend.  It's been cold down in the the low 30's every night and then gray and rainy every day.  I don't like to complain about the rain because we usually really need it, but this is South Texas after all!  Oh well, soon Summer will be here and I'll complain about the heat.

Today I have a little bit of a different card.  It's "Steampunk."  I've seen the name and cards like it around, but have never tried one myself.  I joined a group on FB and the owner is a fabulous artist who draws her own images and this is one that she did.  There is a challenge for the group to make a card using this image in the steampunk technique.  As I said, I'm pretty new to steampunk, so I didn't have a lot of accessories to add to my card, but I did the best with what I had.  If you don't know what it is, click on the link above to read about it.  Here's an excerpt:  Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery,[1] especially in a setting inspired by industrialized Western civilization during the 19th century. Therefore, steampunk works are often set in an alternative history of the 19th century's British Victorian era or American "Wild West", in a post-apocalyptic future during which steam power has regained mainstream use, or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power.

Here is my card --

 Materials Used:
  • Images - Steampunk Rio from Simply Betty; Clock Face from Time Flies stamp set
  • Sentiment - Sandylion - Time Flies stamp set
  • Cardstock - Xpress It Blending Card; Stampin Up - Apricot Appeal
  • Ink - Memento - Tuxedo Black; Stampin Up - Early Espresso; Apricot Appeal
  • Designer Paper - 7 Gypsies - Venice
  • Accessories - Lace from my stash; Brass corner - Vintaj; brass key - 7 Gypsies; Marvy 1" circle punch
  • Copic markers - B000; C0; E0000, E31, E33, E37, E40, E50, E51, E53; E81; G000, G21, G24, W1; Y21, Y23, Y25, and Y38
That's it.  Hope you like it.  It was really fun playing with this image, and I think I'm going to have to hunt up some more "steampunk" embellishments for future cards.

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
Shelly's Images - 1 Sentiment; 2 Pattern Papers; 3 Embellishments/Bling
Simply Create - Always Anything Goes
Lady Anne's Challenge - Anything Goes
Digistamps4Joy - Time Flies
